Cerakote is extremely abrasion resistant if you control how the abrasion is applied and what you are using to abrade it with (i.e., making Cerakote promotional videos), but once the surface is breached, it tends to come off in chips and look ugly. Duracoat is no better.

The finish is going to wear, scrap, chip, etc no matter what it is. I've had my edc 19 for about 6 months and it's already getting some wear marks from practicing my draws and shooting. Besides, the scars of use give it character.

That's just modern Glock quality. None of my other guns have wear on them despite my using them more (and with shittier holsters). I even have a ruger LC9s that I use with the shittiest of shit tier Blackhawk nylon holsters that has far less wear than a Glock I only use with a safariland holster.

This has got to be the worst meme of all. The contrast looks cool, which is why people do it, but it serves no practical purpose. Your gun is still black and thus doesn't blend.
