What are some cost effective ways to store a shotgun/rifle in the trunk of you car?
Pic related cost over $200. Don't want to spend that much but I also don't want to just toss it in the trunk and let it rattle around. What have younguys done that has worked.

Hardcase in the trunk.
Bungee cord

You could do one of these with a foam padded fishing rod rack and some sort of velcro retention.
Just bolt it down and then stick your gun into it.

Thanks. Yeah that seems like the most logical thing. I guess I was curious to see if there were any unorthodox ideas. Maybe I'm overthinking it.

That's interesting. How exactly?>>34525768

Pic related.
Just
put it in the fucking trunk???
I used to use two of those gun magnets to hold my shotty under my bed. I'm sure if the gun was sitting on the ground while stuck to the magnets it wouldn't move. Wouldn't work with a Mossberg though...
I keep a gun in a tool case in my trunk along with some other things. If you just want a rack it should be an easy project to build one, it's absurd to pay $200 for a bit of bracket, even a thrift resistant one.

>thrift resistant
So if I get one I can't modify it?

Barrel is steel.
