The Bosnian War lasted from 1992 to 1995. During all this time, the Bosnians were pretty much on the defensive, besieged on all fronts by the Serbs.

The UNPROFOR started its mission in Bosnia in 1993 creating "safe-places". Operation Deny Flight started in 1993 creating a no-fly zone over Bosnia. Close-air from NATO support started in April 1994. Operation Deliberate Force started in 1995.

While Bosnia was under an arms embargo, the US delivered quantities of weapons to Bosnian forces, even using Islamist groups for that.

Without UN intervention the Bosnians would have been eradicated.
