I used to do that. I'm mainly too lazy to do it now but it also seemed like a chore to do it right after I went shooting. I don't want to have to do a chore right after I had some fun if I don't have to. So I clean maybe after every two shooting sessions or a few hundred rounds (3-700). This goes for my AKs, handguns and 10/22s

I dont shoot as often as I like so I clean after every range session so that they dont just sit in the safe being nasty. Usually clean the following day or so while watching youtube videos.
I was also a muhreen, so dirty guns annoy me.

Does anyone have any experience with the magpul AK Pmags? I was thinking about giving them a go but was looking for anyone here who has used them previously for advice.

Romanian make good AKs, not the best ones in the world though by far. They make well priced ones for what they are, like WASRs. I'd trust a rifle built in a eastern EU factory over some guys garage any day of the week. You would rather butcher the Saiga to get the trunnion out and rebuild on a US made receiver than use a factory Russian receiver? The only caveat with the old Saigas is that they sometimes do not have receiver dimples and are almost all in 7.62x39. Both of those can actually be worked around.
