>he carries a revolver
I sincerely hope you guys don't do this

>he carries a revolver made after 1950
bull barrels are shit. .38 or go home
>>34447842
>>34447842
I really want more revolvers. I have an LCRx and I want some with longer barrels now.
>>34448727
Good, revolvers with barrels less than 3 inches are worthless
Longer barreled revolvers are best revolvers
>>34448865
I don't know about all of that. I can still hit 3 inch groups at 25 yards with it.
>>34447850
just cuz it's prolly bait doesnt mean he's wrong
>>34448888
those were my hitler quads reeeee
>in the year 2500
>Plasma Colt Commanders have 80 round batteries
>Glock Plasma Defenders hold 150 in the charge
"hurr why arent you getting double stacked batts anon? Dont you want to be protected from a whole riot of Martians?? Them sand people travel like dogs"
TODAY, I WILL REMIND THEM.
skip to 4:14 for the revolver talk

Accuracy isn't the issue (although it can be with lightweight snubs due to recoil)
The really short barrels just fucks with your ballistics and basically kills any expansion you'd get
Unless of course you buy hot loads from BB or Underwood, but if you're using a lightweight snub, good luck shooting those fast and accurately
>>34449005
357 PDX1 out of a 2" barrel is about on par with 9mm and the LCR is way easier to carry around with me while I'm chopping wood in the summer so I like it.
>>34449052
>using .357 in a snub
You could carry a 9mm for basically the same performance but with a whole lot less recoil, but whatever floats your boat
>>34448930
>revolvers are too complicated, delicate, and failure-prone for serious use
>>34447842
I wouldn't mind carrying that in the woods.
>>34447842
>contact shots

Thanks for posting this image. I've been here for almost a decade now but I've never seen the third panel and always wondered what Asuka did after making that face.
>>34447842
You probably think I need (((training))) too. Wyatt Earp could easily use a revolver to kill James Yeager and he never took a class.
>>34449295
>revolvers never jam
wew
>>34449327
He'd have to curve the bullet into Yeager's ditch
>>34447842
I just carry a 500 magnum.
Can't hear shit, though
>>34448930
I don't really think this guys that much of an expert. just saying I've owned and shot FAR more revolvers than Autos I've had one and only one problem with a revolver. I've had lots of problems with autos.

>Not knowing most CCW encounters happen at very close ranges.
>>34447842
Shieet. I still want to CCW a snub .357 for the giggles though
>>34449095
You're right, he could!
kys
>>34449516
Nothing stopping you from CCing more than one gun.
>>34449525
I suppose I will be moving to the mid-west soon. Might as well get into the spirit of it all
>>34449337
>revolvers can jam
>>34449387
Revolvers hold up to neglect, automatics hold up to abuse. Tried and tested rule of the two. Which do you find more "reliable?" It's 100% subjective.
I carry a revolver because single action is virtually accident proof, and can be left on a coffee table in a house full of animals. Can carry with an empty chamber and still fire with one hand. dud = pull the trigger again like you were going to anyway(with double action, at least). glocknading blows up your gun, not your hand
>>34449561
pretty much I've had extremely reliable autos and revolvers. just with my experience I prefer revolvers. In my mind Semi autos are for serious fighting ie LEO and Military. Though if you were in a really shitty city like Detroit an auto may be a good idea but for 90% of permit holders revolvers are probably good enough if not possibly better due to close range fighting
>>34449558
>never had a revolver jam
>limp waisted baby boy pushing nothing but .38 special into his snobby carry piece
>has never walked the bullet out of a .454 with some particularly stout loads and locked the cylinder.
>>34450192
>he doesn't carry factory ammo in his defense handgun
>>34450211
Can't and won't are two different words, koolaid for brains. If I'm out inna mountains and grizzlies are about, you think I'm going to carry some basic bitch .38 lady carry "defense" loads? Hell no, I'm going to carry something that will detonate his skull.
>>34450232
Factory loads are crimped properly, guy killed a bear with 9mm wadcutters, "need it to work, so im going to carry a huge caliber which(by my assertion) will jump the crimp and lock up my revolver"
>>34449466
>thinking criminals always look like criminals
