Why the fuck are the M&P Shield mags so hard to load? I'm pushing on the bullet with all of the strength in my index finger to push the previous bullet down but I can't get it.

Slap it like a dirty whore
>>34446580
Is the floorplate backwards? That image has me confuse
>>34446580
>>34446605
it's an extended magazine, and that sleeve fills out the grip when it's inserted
They really aren't hard to load.
>>34446580
Are they new? M&P Shield mags are notoriously a pain in the ass to load new. I actually had to use a mag loader to top it off, I had to do 5 cycles of that before I could do it without assistance.

i'm glad you said this, because a guy i knew about six months ago showed me his shield and i fooled with it a bit. took the magazine out and ejected a round. went to put the round back into the magazine, and, i couldn't do it. i felt like a pussy. i've never played with a magazine pistol before so i had no point of comparison.

I used to own one OP. I sold it when it started to rust. I recall that one of the mags was a bitch, and the other wasn't. Smack it hard, it might go against everything you want to do to your own firearms, but that's just how it is.

Yes.
my girl has one of these and she has a hard time loading the last round, I chalked it up to breaking in the mag anyone else have this problem
>>34446580
I have the same problem with normal and extended
SS + GOMAD

I've had that issue with mine. You just have to muscle it.

Yes its hard to load the last round for both mags when new. It helped soften the mag spring pressure a bit after I kept both mags fully loaded for a month
>>34446580
I've kept mine fully loaded for 3 months straight it's still a bitch to load
>>34447185
keeping springs compressed generally doesn't wear them out.
>>34446580
>even using your index fingers to load magazines
Protip: Don't be such a dumbass.
>>34446601
>>34447093
Stop.
>>34446580
All four of my shield mags were like this. So hard to load that my thumb hurt. I left them all loaded for about a month then took them to the range and burned through about 300 rounds, that seemed to soften them up quite nicely. They're just a bitch to break in

Seriously you're probably pressing down on the feedlips, don't and use your thumb.

Christ, are they all this way?
Mine were very stiff too, but have broken in some with use. It probably is intended to boost reliability.
Also, does anyone else's have an extremely stiff slide recoil spring?
