Michael Collins wasn't a leader in the 1916 Rising although he did take part. He was then essentially leader of the IRA from 1919 to 1921 before the signing of the (((Anglo)))-Irish Treaty. From there the IRA was split between the newly formed Irish Free State who agreed to the treaty and the Anti-Treaty forces. As an Irishman I can tell you that the splinter groups that formed were barely noble. 1919-1921 were the glory days for em. They're all dead and gone now.

They are actually losing a lot more fighters than the saudi jihadi coalition. If you check any offensives, the houthis lose a lot of dudes for each battle (while doing a lot of damage to be sure). However they do have Saleh's forces which have the real heavy weapons like those ballistic missiles that have been wrecking the coalition.
