What would be a good first rifle for someone who has shot guns

Bolt actions can be had for very cheap from Savage, they are accurate, upgradable, and they come with great triggers. They can shoot long range, they can hunt, and they don't burn ammo. Available in a variety of calibers for roughly the same price. Easy to clean and maintain. Perfect first rifle.

My first purchase was a 10/22. Great rifle and cheap as shit to shoot. Honestly though you could start with an AR or the like, they don't really have much of a learning curve. The bolt action suggestion is good, but it depends on what you want ultimately.
