When is a gun company gonna come out and make stuff thats actually fun? Kel tech is the only one I can think of but I have some ideas

>Madsen style gun in 7.62×39
>50AE M1 carbine
>big revolver rifle in .50BMG
>AR-15 that feeds from the side chanbered in .308
>functional replicas of every movie gun ever (blade runner, han solos gun, etc)

They would make a killing on faggy millenials if its priced right
>>
>>34419744
The only one of these I can even remotely get behind is the .50AE M1
>>
>>34419744
Fuck that. When is anything but AR-15s going to even be in stock?
>>
>>34419744
>if its priced under $400 otherwise I have no interest
FTFY.
>>
>>34419744
>faggy millenials
Every fucking time. Some 30 year old who can't spell the word millennial wants to bitch about them.
>>
>>34419814
30 year olds ARE millenials. 1980-2000.
>>
>>34419824
I know, that was my point. 2000 is way too late, though. Should stop in the mid 90s.
>>
>>34419744
The problem is that you're never going to get them down to price point that would support a large market for most of them.
>>
>>34419744
I really want revolver rifles to be more popular. They're not the best tool for any job but they're so cool.
>>
>>34419843
>Solve the cylinder gap burning support hand issue
>???
>Revolver rifles will be more popular
>>
I can only imagine the sheer hell that .50 BMG would unleash on the mechanics of a revolver.
>>
>>34419824
Oregon trail generation reporting. You millennial trash are fucked. Enjoy your universal living stipend, and be around the 5th to collect rent
>>
>>34419914
Some kind of plate covering the cylinder gap facing the support hand would work, but you'd need to make it either a fixed cylinder or inverted swing out cylinder.
>>
>>34419744
>Madsen Style Gun in 7.62x39
disgusting, I want the 7.62x51 before the 7.62x39
>>
>>34419938
I'm almost certainly older than you.
>>
An AR15 that fed .308 from the side would fulfill my need of owning an FG42.
>>
>>34420000
Actually this kind of thing was attempted and increases the chance of chainfire.

SMG Guns makes both an 8mm and a 7.62x51 mm FG42. Only problems is, they cost $5,000

Simplified gas delayed, striker fired pistol caliber carbine.

Would anyone be interested in seeing the TRW LMR in semi auto?

I get what you mean, tho, someone must think of something else
>>
>>34420683
yeah in black powder models. you aint gonna chain fire a cylinder loaded with cartridges

The physics aren't the same, there's no exposed powder to set off with a spark.

If we're dreaming about fun stuff, I want them to either repeal NFA '34 or reopen the machine gun registry that they closed in 1986.

I want my cheap stamped sheetmetal open-bolt pistol-caliber range-toy SMG, dammit. I want my new production S&W M76 or KP45 clone--maybe change it up a tiny little bit by sticking on the triangular stamped sheetmetal folding stock from an AK74 and offering a version with a short barrel, like 4" or 4 1/2" with a threaded muzzle. Put a flash suppressor on it to protect the threads when you're not running the can. Maybe see if curved magazines help reliability with this design. Maybe with a feedramp that's hollowpoint-friendly it could even make a good home defense gun or "truck gun." "Oh look, Martha. Rioters. Please be a dear and hand me the golf bag that's behind the back seat."

>>
>>34421977
What if I gave you that in semi auto, moved the magwell back to the trigger guard, and gave you a longer bbl? The stock would be telescoping - not folding.
>>
>>34422132

Debatable.

>>34419795

Oregon Trail generation IS millennial generation, fuckstick. Literally all the people you hear on the internet wanking over Oregon Trail played it on Apple IIs at school back in the '80s and early '90s. That's millennial time.

>>
>>34422428
>>34422420
actually, it depends on who wrote their own definition on what Generation Y is.
Every company has a different view on who and what Generation Y is.

So companies like MetLife includes anyone born from 1977 - 1995 and the guy who originally wrote about Gen Y and the US Census Beauru puts it as 1982 to 2000.

Basically, it's just opinions and completely arbitrary, mostly because no one cares what even they themselves wrote.
>>
>>34422478
Given that's almost literally a plastic box, couldn't you just 3D print a stockset for a 10/22 or Hi-Point rifle?

I mean supposedly they were remarkably lightweight, and for a Hi-Point, the boxy shape should feel just right, the magazine even fits in the grip.

>>34422478
>>34422603
Observe.

Just take off the stock and sights, then put on a 3D printed shell stock thing you make design yourself.
Though it might end up a bit short so you might have to put on a muzzle-device, barrel extension, or outright register it as an SBR.
>>
Anyone able to put a binary trigger on a RPK semi clone to get a decent area of denial gun possibly? Maybe it's stupid but price would be so
much lower than an actual full auto

Please if someone can comment and viability really been thinking

Or adding these triggers to those semi auto SAW clones

Thanks
>>
>>34422702
Honestly a light trigger and bump-stock works better for an improvised machinegun, you can even use it with a bipod.

Google "Bump-SAW"
>>
Well the DP-12 is a fun gun with no real application in mind
>>
>>34422573

Han Solo's gun is a real thing (c96 iirc).

As are Storm Trooper guns (Sterling smgs).

As are Rebel hoth rifles (StG 44s iirc)

you can get pretty close and do that with an ar15
>big revolver rifle in .50BMG
that'd be fun but and i'd be all over it for ~1k bucks I guess you'll have to just deal with 45-70, 480 or 500 mag for time being
>AR-15 that feeds from the side chanbered in .308
you can already do this with 50 bmg

if i could snap my fingers and make a gun appear it would be a k31 in 45-90

>>
>>34422210
>naked barrel hanging out the front
Agreed. Up to now, every previous execution of these have been pretty ugly. But no one has a problem with 16" AR bbls. The mid-length gas systems really improve the lines. That is the key, don't make the gun look like an SMG with a longer bbl. For our eye, there is a proper ratio of bbl:handguard:reciever:magwell:stock. An UZI with a full stock looks sexy as fuck. An UZI with a 16" bbl and a bbl shroud is ugly as sin.

Are you familiar with the vertical cam on a Mk19? The Browning MG action would work too but I want way few parts than that.
>>
>>34424402
Exactly like the ruger model 44 operated.
>>
>>34419744
I want to see a return to pocket pistols, but with the advantages of the smaller high velocity cartridges we have today. I want something that can manage 11 rounds but be as around the size of a P238. Obviously you wouldn't be using .380 to get that kind of capacity in that size.
>>
>>34424545
Not a huge fan of that action. It works in the M1 carbine but in the Model 44 it had problems with lead fouling the gas system. Copper jacketed bullets fixed this but I know guys will want to shoot wheel weights for 6 cents a round. I want to keep manufacturing costs down. So minimal parts count, machining, special steels, and heat treatment. Long stroke roller lock is the current leader. As is the controlled feed non-rotating bolt and vertical cam.
