Well, hate to break it to you but shooting is not the cheapest thing you can do in you free time.
If money is that much of a concern start with a cheap .22 rifle so at least the cost of ammo isn't that much of a problem.

Tu vas sur place, tu demandes une licence. 50€ par an mais limité en activité et en armes, c'est fait pour tirer des plateaux rien d'autres. Tu pourras pas te pointer avec un fusil a pompe ou une carabine gros calibre.

Pour t'entrainer la bas avec ça, mais la licence te permet quand même d'acheter toutes les catégories C.

-permis de chasse
Tu fais une demande à l'association de chasse de ton département, tu t'inscris au concours théorique, tu apprends des choses, tu réussis le concours, tu fais l'examen pratique. On t'estime capable de chasser en sécurité avec tes nouvelles connaissances et d'avoir une arme. Tu fais la validation annuelle (100aine d'euros) et tu peux acheter toutes les catégories C que tu veux.

-club de tir sportif
Assimile déjà les deux premiers cas et tu veux vraiment savoir sur le "tir sportif" je t'expliquerai après. C'est plus compliqué et dépend de plein de choses.

Faut le voir comme un permis d'achat, pas de détention (sauf pour les catégories B type pistolet et "fusils d'assaut"). Si tu prends une licence de BT demain, le temps que les papiers soient fait (une à deux semaines) tu peux acheter une arme légalement et la garder à vie. Rien ne t'oblige à aller au stand de BT mais c'est mal vu c'est sûr. Et le président peut adresser un mot à la fédération et à la prefecture pour se renseigner sur toi si t'es mal vu. C'est con mais c'est comme ça.

Si j'étais un noguns en France maintenant je ferais ça:
-inscription au ball-trap
-je discute avec les membres pour connaitre l'esprit général (s'ils sont sérieux sur la compétition ou si c'est juste pour avoir une arme comme beaucoup)
-j'y vais de temps en temps avec mon fusil de ball-trap pour tirer quelques plateaux et échanger avec les mecs du club
-à côté j'achète ce que je veux (dans une optique défense ou survie par ex) et j'essaie de voir si je peux les utiliser dans ce club (certains ont des infrastructures pour le tir sur cible papier mais pas toutes)
-je suis maintenant détenteur légal d'armes responsables et j'emmerde l'État qui veut me désarmer et me traiter comme un enfant

Le problème de la chasse c'est les connaissances à avoir, le problème du tir sportif c'est la sélectivité des clubs et le manque de place.

Moi ça fait une dizaine d'années que j'ai senti le "vent tourner", avant ça je ne m'intéressais pas aux armes. Aujourd'hui mon coffre est plein et je conspue l'État de vouloir m'enlever des armes qui ne servent qu'à tirer du carton.

Tu trouveras difficilement moins cher en France, et même en Europe en général. Il n'y a pas de marché pour. Aux USA, on voit des AR15 corrects à $400 parce que ça part comme des petits pains.
Chez nous c'est 500€ pour un fusil à pompe qui coûte $200 la-bas. Imports, taxes, frais d'armuriers et de douanes, c'est vite calculé.

Ça reste quand même abordable si tu achètes quelque chose de correct, tu le gardes à vie, que tu renouvelles la licence ou non.

france don't have concealed carry laws for regular citizens, only able to have weapon inside the house for home defense, be it pistol, bolt rifle or shotgun, as long you have a carry permit and a weapon safe.

CC permits are handed extremely rarely in "high risk cases", for example in gang-related murder trials, the judge and the main witnesses can ask for a 1 year permit to carry for self-defense. One handgun and 50 rounds per year.

But they come directly from the Minister of the Interior in person, no one else. There is an official form that can be sent to him to ask for one though. It's possible but highly unlikely. Our pro-carry association (ARPAC) are trying to promote this.
