Something involving C-47s.

This is why I think the N1K2 was the better plane than the Ki-84
Because it could actually take a hit and keep flying

>>34408392
Would be better to take your planefu to Europe, because P-51 got so very late to Pasific. Don't go cheating her with some fat jug.

Is that first one shooting rockets at nothing?
>>34408693
Did they have something so different in structure or protection?
Battle of Britain.
Unrelated, but my favorite planes of the war are P-39, P-61, and B-25.
>>34408765
The first one is just shooting hoping for a hit since he was too far from my ally's plane they were both chasing. He probably saw me and knew he was dead so he fired out of desperation I assume.
>>34408828
How unhonorabru for him not to try some random manouvers if he saw you. Though I remember getting hit from a mile away few times.
Didn't really remember that guns made such dark smoke trails.

I wouldnt want to do it in an actual war but I would love to fly in a B-17 ball turret during peactime. Just for the experience. When I was a little kid I loved the movie "The Memphis Belle" and the scene where the guy is hanging on to the plane after getting the turret blown off always gave me insane feels. Otherwise I would want to fly a Spitfire in actual combat. But piloting a B-17 is close second. I got to tour one when I was like 7 and those things are amazing.

Just remember, anon, if your wing/elevator gets even slightly damaged in a dive, you ded.
Fuck navigating. Plus there's something to be said for home field advantage.
>>34409559
That goes for most planes getting hit while going in a dive. Though Dauntless pilots kept the canopies open during dives so they could get out a little quicker if needed.
If I wanted relative safety, then I could say being a TBF Avenger pilot during Operation Ten-Go during the attack on the Yamato.

Literally any. If I had to pick one I'd say a mudfighter pilot. Flying the sexiest plane ever while bombing nips sounds fun. Sometimes they didn't even bother retracting their landing gear.
Jack of all trades, master of all.
