if Russia actually had knowhow in shipbuilding you might have a point. Still Chinese yard do some really stupid shit(don't have time to list) but at least they follow basic damage control standards in design. Most Russian naval vessels could not even meet IMO standards for commercial vessels.

the best part is that it's the complete opposite now. China is the one doing Russia a favor these days.

Russian navy is in a more pathetic state than the USA. Their surface combatants consist of meme frigates and the well known but few gigantic cruisers. The only threatening things from Russia now are their new attack submarines and cruise missile submarines. Russian land force is still as scary as ever however.
