Time for some historical restoration...
My grandfather was the commander of the 3rd SOS back in the 68/69 timeframe in Vietnam. They flew the AC-47s of the time. I inherited the scrapbook from the 3rd SOS (originally the 3rd ACS) when my grandfather passed away several years ago. Several photos are now coming loose so I am gluing them back down to keep the scrapbook intact.
More history can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3d_Special_Operations_Squadron
A few more pics...
Now time to glue the pics back in.
Lt Col Perry (I think) at the end of his tour and some maps used in theater.

On the back of the bulk of the photos.
Also seems my grandfather was NOT a fan of the previous commander before he himself took command.
But happy to take command after.

I plan to. I hope to get something high res of all the pages at some point.
OP, not sitting you, that is one of the most awesome "check what I inherited" threads I've seen in 9 years of /k/
Make sure you use a quality glue that won't do harm to the pics or the paper. Other than that: 10/10
