How can USA compete with those tiny tomahawks?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCuNMaMTlRE
>>
By having lots of them, and the money to buy more.
>>
>>34340494
Russia launched few kalibrs and achieved far more than United Sharts with 60 tomahawks
>>
>>34340507
US was just practicing in situations where they have to destroy a runway with airplanes and test efficiency of the Destroyers and missiles
>>
>>34340494
How the fuck would they buy more when the Tomahawk isn't made anymore?
>>
>>34340492
>Shoot one of the few giant expensive missiles your country can muster
>Gets blown up by small US missile
>>
>>34340520
>throwing 450kg warheads on runaways
>the enemy fixes the runaways in a matter of hours
only an amerifag will think like that

Double dumb
>>
>>34340688
They didn't target the runway brah

Did they accidentally hit Iran instead of Syrian again?

By having a functional GPS instead of relying on ballistic trayectories.

who the fuck said that they did target it? i replied to the damn idiot thinking that usa just tests 60 missiles to see if they can do shit to the ground

kek for real now thats the dumbest thing you could ever say

A kalibr costs ~1 billion ruble each so 16.8 million dollars for each missile.

How many Russians you could feed depends heavily on where those Russians live. In Chechnya the food price would be around half the price of Moscow/Saint Petersburg because Chechnya has a very large food production and the transport costs are much lower.

But yeah, you could have fed around 23,000 Russians for a year with each missile and they fired 44 missiles so around 1 million Russians could have been fed for 1 year.
>>
>>34340847
>A kalibr costs ~1 billion ruble each so 16.8 million dollars for each missile.
??? Export price for Kalibr is 6.5m$
>>
>>34340492

The Tomahawk uses a turbofan instead of turbojet engine, so it doesn't need to be as big to carry so much fuel.
>>
The Kalibr missies can be armed with nuclear warhead.

There is also land version called Iskander-K.

I dunno if they want to go this route. Russians shit their pants the last time we made our own GLCM system did that.
>>

Okay and? It's not like the Tomahawk had anything to compete with in 1983.
>>
>>34340859
The export versions have a max range of 300 km because of international agreements. Of course it will be cheaper than the ones Russia use (who have a max range of around 2500 km)

The production line is closed. They only refurbish old ones.
>>
>>34341393
To be fair to the navy, they have over three (3) fucking thousand of the god damn things. They wanted to stop producing them in 15 but congress decided to keep the lines open till late 16.
>>
>>34341281
It's not even that much bigger. Warhead is a minor 50 kg larger. Pure missile size they are damn near identical (as much as two different missiles a three decades apart from a different sphere of influence can be.)
>>
>>34341431
>It's not even that much bigger.
It is. Smallest klub variant is as big and heavy as the tomahawk. Long range variant is several hundred kilograms heavier.
>>
>>34341281
>>bigger Tomahawk clone
except with 3x more accurate accuracy, able in both land attack and anti-ship missions, and actively installed of everything from cruiser ships down to corvettes to cargo containers on merchant ships.
>>
>>34341460
I take those weight with a grain of salt. The warhead weight is not all that different, and the longest range "super heavy" klub only goes as far as a bog standard tomahawk. While the "light", klub has half the range. Diameter is the same, klub is apperently longer, to far longer.

Anyways, size discrepancys aside, they are tactically and strategically the same damn weapon. Klub does some nifty things like supersonic terminal for a few of its variants, but that's meh to me. It's stealth features already exist on the TLAM, and is redundant due to their employment (theater radars will never see it and the types of defense systems that are effective always will with terrain hugging missiles)
>>
>>34341466
>except with 3x more accurate accuracy
>accurate accuracy

TLAMs accuracy is exceptional at around 10m (CEP). Would love a source.

Other points have been explored for TLAMs, from anti shipping to airlaunched, ground launched, etc. It's nothing special for this type of weapon.

It's main plus from a tlam is supersonic potential, as important as that is to you.
>>
>>34341466
>except with 3x more accurate accuracy
That's improbable since Russian digital computing objectively is worse than American's.

>able in both land attack and anti-ship missions
Tomahawk had it first. What's your point?

>and actively installed of everything from cruiser ships down to corvettes to cargo containers on merchant ships.
...So ships like Tomahawks?

Nothing quite like seeing a telephone sized explosive pole fall to the earth right after the boosting charge depletes.

Also, having a standard missile KB is ass clenching, having a schoolbus sized mass of fuck you KB is god damn terrifying.

>>34341592
The only thing "ass clenching" about the Russian armed forces are the conscripts.

The objective of the strike was never to shut down the airfield. Shutting down the airfield would lead to BAD ENDs for a whole slew of people in the local region.

no, the impact angle of the munitions is directly from top and you can't see no missile approach.

Check the other impacts on .25 speed and you'll see.
there is 3 missile impacts plus one heavy airdropped bomb in that vid.
So likely one missile failed.

Not even close as worse as OP, additional he specificly opened a thread over this, which makes it even worse. Your behaviour is also one of the reasons why russians have such a bad rap, say something bad about about them and you can always prepare for an aggressive response, most often trying to drag in other nations for whatever reason. You will not find a openly russian here saying something against the russian shitposters beside on a unicorn low level, this is unique with them, basically every other nation that is even remotely larger present here is capable of doing this, russians are not. And since we can watch this for years now, while addressing this uncanny russian specific behaviour, the russboos have a worse rep than wehraboos by now, which already speaks for itself. Now we can prepare ourselfs for the 6000th appologist appearing out of nowwhere, totaly "neutral" of course like always, going in full whataboutism mode. Thats the problem with them, they cant even comprehend their is a problem with themselves, like the real life deep rooted russian idea of everything bad in russia was just caused by forgein influence or actions.
