Buying a Russian capture, Romanian "capture", or other such Kar.98k that saw service in some other military after WW2 ended, and is so marked/refinished. Those start around $500, sometimes less. If you want an all-matching German-made example without any sign of usage by another state entity, you're looking at $1000 minimum, for the most common manufacturer and date, on the open market.
