new QTDDTOT

on the 92a1, besides the slide, frame, and recoil spring assembly being different and incompatible with the original 92FS, are there any other parts that aren't interchangeable?

I want to get a D spring, metal trigger, and extended mag release for the 92a1.

If I were to make a crossbow out of a leafspring and steel cable, would I be better off using crimping eyelets for the cable or cable crimps and putting the wire through a hole?

The grill or the rifle? I like the grill personally.
>>
Would you buy a 20 year old Beretta 85FS in nickel for 345? Also, would you carry said gun?

I was going to get a PPS as a carry gun, but then I found the 85 and it seems like a smoking deal. I also much prefer da/sa compared to striker and I am ecstatic that it has a decocker. Only thing I'm not that thrilled is that it's in 380, but apparently lehigh and polycase bullets actually make 380 a viable carry option.

I still might buy it anyway, but I'm not sure if I'll carry it.

The rifle. A turned down bolt handle on a non marksman variant is very incorrect

IDK what bothers me more, that or the one in Ghost Recon Wildlands which somehow mates a normal stubby bolt with that ugly as fuck UTG receiver thing.

Bubba or not, the SVD birdcage intrigues me.
>>
>>34308064
for all you know the scope mount was removed for whatever reason. It comes off the base really easy you know.
>>
The takedown lever on my SKS doesn't want to budge. I can't even move it halfway out. Should I just try to oil it up in that spot and or take a hammer and pin to knock it out? I'd rather not but I would hope that may fix it.
>>
>>34308024
Das a bretty gud deal. And like you said, with proper defensive rounds a .380 will kill a man just as dead as a 9mm or a .45. You're gonna be shooting an attacker 4 or 5 times anyway.

Short of firing up the sandblaster filled with glass beads, what are the ways to best strip rust off the interior and exterior of a firearm without leaving behind pitting/scratching? I have a gun similar to this which was given to me by a grandfather (an Iver Johnson not a Victor Arms) and the outside & inside are terribly rusted. I shot it once to loosen the rust out that I could and cleaned it, the interior has little mirror left meaning I should refinish it too right? I want to educate myself on these sorts of things before I destroy the gun out of negligence. I know this gun was restored by an anon here and if you're out there man, I'd love to hear how you did it.
(Can't make a new thread for some reason so I just posted here)

Is it true the 1903 Springfield isn't very accurate and is fairly overrated?
I heard that somewhere, think it was compared to other WWII rifles.

I hadn't sighted in my 1903 scope but if the horizontal grouping was that bad as my vertical groups than I might need to reconsider ownership. Otherwise it is just how the scope is mounted.

What a firearm example of the age old saying,
"It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog"

Basically tiny ass guns that are incredibly practical, reliable, and powerful.
>>
why are the SIG 55X series of guns so goddamn expensive? they start at around 3500 swissbucks here and only go up in price from there. also there are barely any second hand ones around, and even then you can already add the cost of a new barrel which ends you up at around 2000 to 2500
>>
What are some good 5.56 NATO rifles available in the US of A that can be fired repeatedly with the stock folded?
Google says hey dude fuck that check out the top 20 ARs lmao.
Preferably nothing that is now import banned like old Galils and SG550s, but expensive stuff that is readily available like the SCAR 16S is alright.

How the fuck do slings work? I got a sling for my M44 Mosin and can't figure out for the life of me how to put it on. Why is that one part of the sling pushing out? How do I make it flush with the rest of the sling, and how do I increase the sling's length? I feel like this is the most simple thing, but I just don't get how slings work. Someone please help. Pic related.
>>
>>34313821

The prices are already super low due to the election results. I'm not sure about pistols, but you can get an AR for $400, so I can't imagine that pistols are selling for full price. Waiting for a couple weeks can't HURT, but it may not help much either.

What's a better buy as baby's first intermediate rifle?
Used WASR with folding stock, or a new cheap Armalite AR15, both $450-500 or so.

iirc those leather bits sticking out goes through the slots. its called a "dog coller" and it replaces sling swivels.

>I got a sling for my M44 Mosin and can't figure out for the life of me how to put it on.
leather straps go through holes in stock.
>Why is that one part of the sling pushing out? How do I make it flush with the rest of the sling,
pull on both ends of the sling to take out the slack
>how do I increase the sling's length?
move the metal part forwards or backwards

Okay guys, I need some help here.

I was in a pawnshop the other day. Not really looking to buy, but rather sell. But, I saw something interested on the gun wall, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what it was, and I didn't ask to see it, which i am kind of kicking my self over now.

It looked like a Mauser action, as far as I could tell from 5 feet. It was partially obscured by a beat up old durr rifle, so I could not verify at that distance, but it seemed to have a large capacity detachable box magazine that was chained to the rifle. Or at least seemed chained.

I've searched and searched, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what it was. I can't confirm it had a Mauser action. It looked similar, but it was from a distance.

it was definitely not a Lee Enfield or Metford. It had a very distinctive rectangular box magazine. It almost looked like it was a modification.

Maybe some sort of Swedish gun? It's something I've never seen before, and I really should go back and look when I have the chance. If it's still there.

Trench mag? Pic related.

Fuck, I think that's it. Time to research.
>>
>>34317484

Spanish FR-8?
>>
>>34317528

If it's an ORIGINAL trench mag it's probably worth a fair chunk of cash, if it's a repro then it's pretty much worth as much as a Mauser without a mag.

What are the advantages of an SBR over a braced "pistol"?
Are they worth all the dealings with the doggo blasters when a brace can legally be shouldered now?

Alright question
The m1918 BAR is open bolt
But in every game with it i've played, the charging handle on the left side of it is in a frontward poistion, then it gets pulled back and goes back forward again
Wouldn't the chargin handle stay back considering the bar is open bolt
sorry if it's a stupid question
>>
>>34308192
My takedown lever is pretty stubborn on my SKS. It comes about half way out. After pulling it out halfway i usually grab the base of the lever above the little switch at the end of it and I twist and pull it until it comes out. It's a pain in the ass, but I can get it out. Also the switch to remove the piston and gas tube is also similar in that regard.
>>
>>34310471
I think of an M1 carbine or maybe an Mp5
>>
>>34322683
BAR is open bolt, the charging handle is independent of bolt movement

sling pads any good if you want a decent inexpensive solution for slings cutting into you or are you better off just buying a better sling?

I like to use the sling a lot when shooting to keep tension on the rifle.
>>
>>34323096
Sling pads are fine, but I just use mine for carrying the rifle.
