On a scale of naked eye to coke bottle, how green and parallaxy is the lens of your LED RMR?

My PRO was almost the greenest lens I've seen, the only greener was one of my TRS-25s. That color is unpleasant.

My RMRs are the most parallaxy optics I have. That is also unpleasant at the sight picture periphery.

tl;dr I'm tryna figure out if the LED RMR lenses are any better because Cabelas revised their backorder ship dates from 18 weeks to 3 weeks.

The RMR lens is tinted as fuuuuuuck. It's part of why it has such a good battery life.

Its also has a fair amout of distortion: the single pain window is THICK as hell for strength, but the thickness along with curvature makes quite distorted. This isn't a problem for the most part because the aperture is so small.

The RMR is an awesome miniature optic, but it definitely compromises performance some for light weight and low mass. I'd recommend running it with fixed irons

Yep. It's funny though, even on rifle mounting solution I definitely recommend modifying the side battery contact to make the sight shock proof. It's an absolute necessity on pistol mounting, but was surprised to find I needed to do it on a RM09 on a rifle mount too.

Other drawbacks are the fact that it's an exposed reflex sight, so you can get weird shit in the reflection with the right environmental condition. Aimpoints, being enclosed, don't have as much of a problem.

The RMR is an alright choice for rifles, one just has to know their cons and how to address them. With a 1 MOA adjustment, it is also a lot less fine than competing solutions
