What is the /k/ verdict on bump fire stocks?
I wanted to get a class 3 machine gun, but I don't have 30 grand to pull out of my ass, so I heard these sub $300 stocks were a very close legal alternative
Anyone own/use them?

I've heard there are better legal alternatives

Porque no los dos?
Seriously, though, would both work, or would it cause the hammer to trip before the bolt seats and stop firing?

They're fucking ridiculous. They're nothing like full auto or select fire bursts. They're even MORE inaccurate than either of those, and that's saying a lot. Can be fun for a day shooting with your buddies at the farm just to play Rambo, but it's an utter waste of ammo and of zero practical use or value.
A buddy of mine got one in trade. We shot it most of a day, in short bursts competing for accuracy. Three of us, experienced shooters trying our damndest to land rounds on target and outdo each other, and the end result was universally terrible groupings. Fun novelty, though.
>people splooge their pants over FA
>scoff at bumpfire
I will never understand this.

This. They're a stupid way to waste ammo and not hit anything.

Nah, I don't care for FA either. For any purpose I can imagine, I'd rather have semiauto. I can see where 3-round burst might have advantages in some rare scenarios, but in general ammo conservation and shot placement are too valuable to consider giving them up. Military situations may have a lot of guys trying to lay down suppressive fire against a lot of other guys, both sides with huge crates of ammo at the ready. That ain't me. However, I'm not a Fudd so I would rather see NFA restrictions loosened or eliminated. If someone wants to waste a shit ton of ammo to make a few scoring hits, I guess it's their business.
