Alright /k/. I want your opinion on this meme gun. I was considering getting one for range shooting, home defense and hunting.

Is it worth it?

No.

>>34268467
Depends on how durable it is, which may not be alot
I wanted one until I saw this. Ordered and waiting for it now
At least $500 more than the RFB, but I know its worth it
>>
>>34268467
get an RDB instead
>>
>>34268467
They have the nicest triggers of any memepup I've ever fired. It's still a keltec though. It's fine for a range toy.
>>
>>34268467
Yes.
>>
>>34268554
Why? There are far better options for bullpups in .556
RFB holds its own because there are like 3 or 4 options for .308 and one doesnt exist yet
>>
>>34268467

go for it

i was nervous about getting a keltec but it worked fine and was fun to shoot
>>
>>34268467
my only hesitation on buying one is clearing a malfunction requires taking the gun apart
>>
>>34268633
:(
Thats kinda a dealbreaker for a battle rifle
Range queen only
>>

No it doesn't.

while we on the bullpup subject anyone thinking bout getting one of these? Pic is still early 3d printed prototypes but they said they working on getting the tooling n shit done within a month ish so maybe 2 more months before they start selling

if i can get a hi point carbine for like 200-250 and the kit for another 200 a good looking 9mm bullpup for 400-500 seems reasonable

hi point carbines are decent they just ugly as sin from what i understand?
>>

unless you're defending your home from the taliban, you're gonna want a shotgun or a pistol bud.

Actually, yeah, you're spot on there.
You'll want a hand to manipulate switches, your light, or your phone while calling the cops.

>>
>>34268821
>not buying both
>>
>>34268792
Yes
>>34268821 *RDB
How many militaries field the RDB?
>>
>>34268751
If these hit the market on time and the HPA passes I would actually consider getting a .45ACP version and threading the barrel for a suppressor. Cheap semi-hearing-safe bullpup PCC sounds like a good HD gun.
>>
>>34268828
Meh I bought this>>34268531 for 308 as I have an AUG
Aluminum tube, mainly AR-10 parts, 20 in barrel, comes apart in like 5 pieces
Better in every way
>>
>>34268751
Yeah, pretty decent price for a bullpup 9mm, I suppose. I had a Hi-Pooint carbine way back in the day. Despite being turd ugly, it functioned through the worst abuse I'd put it though. I went through a few hundred rounds and only cleaned it twice. Most of the time, I just re-lubed it.

I'm kicking myself in the dick every day for paying AR prices for an Aero Survival rifle. Even though it takes AR stocks and grips, and Glock mags, it's not worth the price I would have paid to build my own 9mm AR pistol/carbine.

So yeah, <$400 for a 9mm carbine is pretty rock solid.
>>
>>34268821
The only thing the AUG has over the RDB is arguably the mag release.

>>34268839
Considering governments are getting over the memepup phase I can't see anyone adopting it, or even Kel-Tec doing any large scale marketing on it.
>>
>>34268769
Fucking noguns
5.56 out of a carbine length rifle is the best and safest thing to use for HD. Like, objectively.
>>
>>34268854
damn didnt even think about that

that sounds like a good plan
>>
>>34268751
Wow its all 3D printed. It should hold up to 9mm
Hi-Point carbines are pretty solid
What I hate about them is that the mags are shitty
Cheap, singlestack stamped steel 10 round factory mags
You can get Redball 20 rounders, but they feed worse than the factory ones
Only issue I have ever had with a 995 is rounds not feeding because of crappy mags
>>
>>34268863

i went with the rfb for forward ejection and much lower price
>>
>>34268894
The new chassis will be able to take doublestack mags once High Tower gets around to inventing them. They've said they plan on it, at least for the 9mm version.
>>
>>34268869
>The only thing the AUG has over the RDB is arguably the mag release.
No sir
Better mags. 42 round AUG and 30 round magpul
Barrel comes off with a button push and twist
can change between 16 and 20 inch barrels on the fly
Barrels are chrome lined, trigger is full auto
Only difference between civi and military model is an auto sear
>>
>>34268531
>>34268467
>buying this shit when you can wait for the Desserted Arms or the MSBS that are never going to be released for under $3000

soon(TM)

Just wait (C)
>>
>>34268907
Forward eject is pretty good if youre a lefty.
AUG isnt lefty friendly unless you get the lefty bolt
Theres no way you paid less than $1200 for that
My AUG was $1900 and ready for combat anywhere, not just range time
>>
>>34268939
kek
also my K&M was only $2000
Gonna take them 4 months to build it tho
Hoping for 3 or less

If tap rack bang doesn't work you can remove the magazine and lock the bolt to the rear and clear malfunctions that way. I mean, you might get a jam that can't be cleared that way either but that's true of all guns.

>>
>>34269032
As far as I know they dont make an smaller barrels than 16 inch and its already very compact and almost an SBR
Id rather have an SBR AK like a krink
42 round waffle mags. 42 is the meaning of lfe
Therefore AUG is the meaning of life
>>
>>34268467
I have put only about 2000 rounds through mine. Not. One. Failure.
Pros: .308
Compact
Accurate
Reliable
Cons:
She's a heavy bitch
Field stripping sucks donkey balls
Once in a blue moon, the mag won't seat correctly
>>
>>34269044
But it is and can be stripped in less than a minute
Your boat is something I'd trust too
Maybe the tavor
I think the RFB is really cool, but wouldnt trust my life to it
I wanted one until I heard about the K&M M17
>>
>>34269064
Thats good to hear
Im glad its reliable
Sucks about the field stripping

God damn.

Trying to decide what to get for a .308

Its between RFB and Super Vepr.

My gripe with RFB is I heard it can be very picky with what ammo you use

>My gripe with RFB is I heard it can be very picky with what ammo you use

nah it has like 50 fucking gas settings
>>
>>34269256
>My gripe with RFB is I heard it can be very picky with what ammo you use
Not really, at least not if you stick to military like loads.
>>
>>34269217
That would be cool
I already want a 20 inch barrel
I dont want to spend almost a grand on barrels
>>
>>34268467
Anon you're fucking annoying. Yes buy that! Get one and kys
>>
>>34268894
>Wow its all 3D printed
That's the prototype, you dingus. They're making molds right now.
>>
>>34269856
If it can hold together and its less expensive, I dont have a problem with 3D printed parts
I'm having a friend make me a foregrip
The should have acetone treated them so they look cleaner tho
>>
I wouldn't use a .308 for home defense.
I love my rfb, just over 1k rounds through it and no malfunctions with thermold magazines (did have some trouble with Korean FAL metric mags). Great trigger. Accuracy on par with friend's m1a scout- 3" 100 yard groups with m80 PPU stuff. Eats any ammo I've throw at it. Recoil was a bit worse than the m1 but I've since fixed that with a proper brake.

My only issue is I've got the gas setting nut turned all the way off into the suppressor territory and the rifle still cycles, so I'll probably have to do something about that if I ever suppress it.
>>
>>34270101
Harsh
You could have just said its not very durable and is more of a range gun
i like KelTecs, but theyre not as reliable as guns that actual militaries use
>>
>>34268821
Maybe if the AUG didn't look like an abortion.

>>
>>34269938
Depends on the infill percentage on the 3D printer, but molded is just cleaner. Also, it's better for production costs.

3D printing is really more of a rapid prototyping thing.
