It was an Iver Johnson double action, i dont know the model. I feel pathetic that was my first time shooting since ive been very interested in guns since i was a kid.

I also fired some kind of 12 guage shotgun, 9mm pistol, and a VZ58 on the same day. I don't remember but I think it was with .22 short, it will do short long or LR but I was really young so I bet my dad bought short. It was fun, I'm too lazy to find a good reaction picture but it was a big moment for me. My sister shot too, though I don't think she really cared all that much. With how hazy the details are in memory I may have been younger now that I think about it, not sure. It was the 80's so nobody got freaked out about shit like teaching kids to shoot.

My Grandpa is a lovable goof, and sometimes forgets things.
I was 8 years old. He lets me fire my first non-bb gun, a Ruger Vaquero in .45 LC. I get knocked on my ass, and he tries to remedy the situation. He then buys me a Davy Cricket rifle for my 9th birthday, and lets me shoot it whenever I'm at his ranch, because I couldn't shoot it in the shitty sheltered white people community my parents lived in. When I got older, he tended to buy wheelguns, blackpowder kits, and cowboy action funs. I got my love of lever actions and SA revolvers from him.
(Safe clearing out day)
"Hey Grandpa, do you think this .22 is SA or DA?"
*picks up 22lr revolver*
"Let's find out Anon!"
Then unleashes 8 rounds downrange of .22
"Huh, guess it was DA"
Then I went to scout camp, got my rifle, archery, and shotgun merit badges (different years). And achieved Eagle rank. My parents bought me a cheap SKS off armslist someone painted snakeskin camo for $350, and then I went and shot with my Grandpa.
I currently am studying Mechanical Engineering/Business, and my goal in life if to start HZ Firearms Corporation, with the Z standing for Ziegler, my grandfather's name, and the man who taught me how to shoot. The H is kind of a rare last name, and would narrow me down irl.

Some sort of scoped .22 bolt-action they bought in bulk for a scout camp.
At least it was zeroed properly. Hit a bullseye on my first shot. mfw.
Didn't really touch guns for a few years until I got to fire a .50 Hawken reproduction. (was gonna have us smelt our own lead for the bullets too, but the faggot intern they got to set up the forge screwed everything up by using plastic pipes for the air fan and it almost set the woods on fire. Boy scouts were fun I tell ya hwat) Then a couple years later I got a nugget and it all went uphill from there.

Felt like shit, but I had fun. Bought them a new hose, so at least there's that. Reading a lot and watching a lot so I can get at better understanding about all of this.

Glock 17 Gen4 that belonged to the guy with whom I was in a NSA relationship.

Ruger 10/22
It was my cousins rifle and was love at first shot. After every empty mag I was practically flying to the ammo box to top off the mag.
I never grew up around guns but my parents did but they had other hobbies. My mom kept her dads guns but she didn't show them to me til I was 14 (I own them now BTW).
I didn't shoot again for 2-3 years when my parents bought me my own .22 which I later sold because my grandfathers .22 was way better and I wanted to put money to my first gun purchase as an 18 year old. My cousin who let me shoot that 10/22 is basically /k/ incarnate. You there Thomas?

I never knew guns were that loud.
8 years old in a woods in the north of England shot a crow with a .410 shotgun crow flapped about like an autist took forever to die walked up and second shot hit it about 5ft away to kill it to cut a long story short I still hunt but now I never take a shot I don't think will kill cleanly

XD .45 and S&W .38 revolver
It was a college trip (Radford university, transferred to UVA though after 3 semesters at radford) from the outdoor club. Me, two guys and a bunch of girls going to a range in Roanoke. I didn't like the XD but I liked the revolver (I don't own one though, just a 9mm Sig). I have to admit one odd thought because I had depression back in teenage years (still do but who doesn't) I thought "holy shit I am never ever going to put this to my temple, this feels like a fucking car in concentrated form going off in my hands".
It was fun enough that when the guy running the place (who was anti-fudd, tried to warn me away from trying the revolver) made a joke to us about how you'll go shooting once and get hooked like that guy (me).
Fun shit.

I think I was inbetween 3 and 5, my grandpa was a duck hunter and I didn't have my dad around at all. So I figure he wanted to fill the role.
So he gave me some kind of toy pistol that fired small pellets and had me shoot a cardboard box.
Then when I was 11 or 12 he had me learn to use a real gun. Some kind of shotgun he used for duck hunting.
