Fun fact, you can legally own a Taurus Judge in California if some reason you really wanted to, (Seriously, don't buy any firearms from an FFL in California). Oh but you can't just buy it, you need to seek out an SOT Class 2 NFA Manufacturer that will deal with the public. See the Taurus Judge is a Cali-Defined Short-barrel shotgun, but if you add a 2nd grip and register it as an AOW then it's perfectly legal to own as a Title 2 gun.
