in the future, would it be possible to make an exoskeleton inside the human body that can replace the natural human skeleton?

with science progressing, can we be able to literally change our skeletons into integrated exoskeletons?
>>
>>34257041
it's not an exoskeleton if it's inside you you dumbfuck. It would be an endoskeleton, and no. You need your regular skeleton to create red blood cells. Fucking retard.

You don't know what the prefix exo- means do you? However, to replace some body parts with robotic limbs is entirely possible.

It's called a Skeleton, and every already has a few, usually in the closet.

Really though, I do think OP has not thought of bones having uses in addition to "structure". With current trends, it is much more likely for mechanical objects to use our nerve signals to move.

YES

didnt they just steal that from wolverine, like that time my friend stole my gf

It's similar.
>>
>>34258199
how would you be able to bone your gf then, you'd be really heavy and made out of metal
>>
>>34258382
You don't have to get metal, there are several materials you can have it done with, like kevlar or polymer, the metal one is titanium too, so you'll be heavier, but not a shit ton heavier. Also, this is a setting where cyberware has existed long enough that some implants are outpatient procedures. You could find a girl with superhuman strength without too much difficulty, or you could just let her be on top.
>>

shut the fuck up

i tried that it wasnt alpha so my gf dumped me

>You don't have to get metal, there are several materials you can have it done with
what about diamond? i was picking out one of those for my gf when she dumped me
>>
>>34261534
Adding more carbon to your bones would just make them denser would it not? That's a different implant, bone density augmentation. It's also bioware, not cyberware, so much less invasive, but much more expensive.
>>
>>34257041
First, you're a retard

Second, why bother? If tech has gotten that advanced then modifying the human body will be inferior to building an entirely new one. Both because it'll likely have less effective results and it'll be more expensive and harder to do on a large scale
>>
>>34257057
How the heck does Wolverine produce red blood cells...?
>>
you'd have to be permanently on immunosuppressive drugs. it'd be like living with aids
>>
>>34261555
I've got metal plates and screws in my arm from when I broke it earlier this year. I'm not on any immunosuppressors.
>>
>>34261543
i dont think you're going to find a harder metal than diamond
i dont think it'd make you dense, dense is when people tell you to just be yourself when 100+ girls have turned you down for going on dates and your x lets you know shes taking all comers that arnt you
>>
>>34261507
you know some of these shit posts are okay, some of us like them so we can sort of go off topic without shitting up another thread about how bad our dating life sucks and people at least have a reasonable doubt we're maybe trolling so you can save a tiny little bit of face since you can't really talk to anyone in real life about it since they already know

Your bones produce your blood. Replace all of your bones and you'll run out of blood within a week. I forget how fast your blood dies, but it's fast.

TL;DR Even if we could, it's an awful idea
>>
>>34257057
What if we just reinforced it with a biocompatible non-Newtonian fluid? Would it be possible to make some kind of integrated skeleton jelly?
>>
>>34257041
Fuck that. I'd rather just go full cyborg and not have to deal with a circulatory system or anything.

Ghost in the Shell style shotgun hidden inside arm Batou or Chinese commie assassin in that one episode style? sign me the fuck up.
>>
>>34261687
Between this question and the thread with the guy with the false leg. Do people with amputated limbs still have the same amount of blood as someone that still has them all?
>>
>>34261601
>a harder metal than diamond
>metal than diamond
TIL diamonds are metal
>>
>>34257041
The better question is: What benefits would you obtain from having an artificially enhanced skeleton? An increase in density and toughness would mean less chance of broken bones, and that you would weigh more and thus carry more momentum.

But we're still flesh and blood build on top of that. Muscles are what move our body. The more important part of an exo-suit isn't the material it's made of, it's the contraction/flex system by which movement is made possible.
>>
>>34257041
>exoskeleton inside the
Kill yourself retard
>>
>>34261685
i litterally do not see how a non newtonian fluid would improve the skeletons function even the slightest.
Trade-off's my man

you're joking right
