Hey /k/, should my friend be concerned about the way his 54R brass comes out of his 91/30? All casings when ejected look like this at the neck.

Make a chamber casting, having forest cleaned the living FUCK out of the chamber with a brass brush.
Also, I don't know how it would chamber a round if something that shitty was in the chamber.
Are multiple casings like that?
Has he tried gently pulling the bolt back so as to not fling the case and potentially dent it?

Okay, I know he cleaned it when he bought it and multiple times since the last range trip, but I'll let him know.
I'm not sure how they looked when he first shot it as I don't have a casing from then, this was from the last time out. It was Winchester 54R that is the casing in the picture. That time out, we both took care to not do that when we shot, but it could have still happened anyway I suppose. I have another pic, but I'll let him know what you said. Thanks Anon.

Inspect the chamber.
If there's no deformities it's happening on ejection and thus doesn't matter.

To tack on, He's shooting brass in a gun that was built for steel.
It's going to be rough on brass.
