Recommendations on a decent, cheap rifle silencer? I was looking at SDTA's because it's only about $350, but it's kind of long and heavy (8 inches, 1.5 lbs). I don't want to drop a $1,100 on a Surefire SOCOM, and I hear the QD systems have issues after a while anyway. Can /k/ make any recommendations?

Go to zmachineworkx dot come and buy some 1.347 OD stainless steel 60 degree cone cups(how many you need depends on how long your tube is)
then go to apogeeproducts dot come and buy a main tube. they have stainless steel aluminum and carbon steel and titanium, id get stainless steel. they have 6, 7, 8.375 and 10.75 long tubes in stainless steel.
then go to azpenngirl and order some end caps and some front thread caps(you can order just one of each or several if you want to use different thread pitches or different calibers for the end caps). you have to email or call and specifically order the caps themselves in stainless steel and give the thread pitch. the cost will be 26 one cap plus shipping.
so cost 217.6(baffles) + 55(tube) +65(caps)
thats like 338 dollars for 16 baffles, 10.75 stainless steel tube and 2 stainless steel caps plus 200 for the tax stamp.
will be less if you choose a lower length and more if you want extra caps and baffles.
