Anyone here in the Aus Army Reserves? What's it like? Any deployments? Could I live off of Reserve pay alone?
Was offered a role in Aus army infantry reserve.

Mid-90s when I was at uni, then went full time after that
Peacekeeping, sometimes they'd rope in the chocos and generally all the other silly stuff that happens in the little islands

Is it hard to go from reserve to full time? If I take this reserve infantry role that is what I plan on doing down the road.

Well, its a big thing when they're considering you as a recruit, but the most important thing is if you can do the reserves and be comfortable in that environment.

What do you mean big thing? As in a big green tick for your application for full time?
Yeah the environment, hence why I want to go reserves first before heading full time.
