What does everyone think of the PT709?
Its Re-taurus, but it actually feels and shoots like a pretty decent weapon.
Compact and light as well.
There was a time these were considered "better" than the LCP because the slide locked back after the final round. Plus it gave a sweet deal on joining the NRA.
It is Taurus. Buyer beware.
I think either Taurus or Walther's engineers copied the other's exterior design homework. I'm just not sure who's the guilty party.

Just bought one used.
Pros: As you said, light, cheap, feels good, imo the best 'feeling' of the modern pocket 380s. Trigger is long and consistent with a decent break. I personally hate the feel of the LCP.
Cons: There are two resets that will fuck you up if you shoot nice guns with a short reset. The trigger clicks twice on reset -- once when it goes into half cock and once again when it's ready for DA. No idea what previous owners did to it, but it keyholes at 5 yards. Can't find anyone else having that problem so I'm going to assume its just me. Also FTFs on the last round, every time. There's a lip on the inside-top of the chamber that catches on the rim of the casing. Most people polish it down. I just sent back to taurus to fix these issues, let's see what they actually do. They have a lifetime warranty irrespective of original owner status.
I'd go for it if you get a good price.

>>34240764 here. Sorry I saw the pic and assumed it was a 738 -- they're fucking identical just one's bigger and takes 9mm. No experience with a 709 only the 738.
