Update:I've been outside washing my truck and I've noticed about 10x as many as I originally thought, I think the original family got pissed at me and called for backup

unless the only reason those birds are there is because you have a ton of feeders (fixed by getting feeders that only let small birdies eat) itll be the long haul for ya
keep scaring them off/keep food away if possible

they are very instinct driven, their instinct tells them "hey bird niggers, theres food over here, and its fucking season soz we wanna be by the food. oh shit, lets make our nests here. oh shit deez other birds be takin all our food, gotta get rid of 'em
their instinct is to flee from direct threat (you walking up on them) they aren't going to simply move due to an indirect threat (ded burd)

they need to be out of food/facing a natural predator (you do not qualify as a natural predator in the birds mind)

this is why your solutions are so limited and all a pain in the ass.
honestly just grabbing a few beers and plopping down on the porch at sundown and capping as many as you can should do it
got rid of the sparrows on my property in about 2 weeks of just doing yard work or dog training outside and ending them when i saw them

The main thing stopping me from just going outside and murking all of them is that I live in a residential area and I don't want the cops getting called. It's been tough to operate so far but I'm managing.

check what your local pest control laws are
'round here it's usually A-OK to remove as many pests as you want, as long as theyre on the list (and youre following the other rules, like not shooting on public property or any other things that may apply)

i cant find an actual saskatchewan pest control list but my understand of this is that because the birds are defined as pests (but they may not actually be on the pest list) because they are in "direct conflict" with other bird species/your "farm"/livelihood (your one holly bush or whatever that you grow for "ornaments for wreaths"

Im not even OP but if I have to carry a shotgun to my car to be sure I'm not swarmed by 100 blackbirds completely insistent making my nice, tight, virgin butthole BLACKED, than it's time for them to go.

There'd be nothing you could do. With ten of them pecking at your eyeballs and all over your face you're not going to be paying attention to the two or three that are undoing your belt. Two or three more are on standby for boxer/brief removal, and the remaining 80-85 or so flying finger four ready to make you wish it was four fingers and not 85 or so birds.
