Savage Mk ii is a nice bolt .22, comes in a bunch of configurations and the trigger isn't half bad. Or anything by CZ but they're pricey.
Don't know anything about .308, haven't worked up to that myself. Heard good things about Tikka.

New they are like 700 before tax, but the new ones are generally good quality, and you can find them secondhand for lower
