So what's the deal with .223 wylde? Is it as great as people say? I'm building an ar 15 and I keep seeing a lot of interesting opinions on the barrel. It seems to me like it's the barrel that is the best of both worlds. Why wouldn't a barrel like this become the standard for commercial at 15 rifles?
Looking at buying this one https://www.classicfirearms.com/ar15-barrel-223-1189

I have a stainless .223 wylde barrel on one of my ars and the accuracy isn't noticeably better or worse at 250 yards than a normal melonite barrel. If you can find one for the same price as a normal barrel then I would go for it but I wouldn't pay a premium for it. And yes you can shoot 5.56 from .223 wylde.

No shit, but whenever you see .223 wylde mentioned theres always the token idiot saying "YOU CANT SHOOT 5.56 FROM THAT THOUGH ITLL BLOW UP"

It's a .223 Wylde CHAMBER. Not barrel, 1/8 master race.
