Don't use field points to kill anything other than small critters. Arrows kill by bleed their target to death, use broad heads for anything above 30 pounds.

Also, try getting some fur strips to put them into your bowstring. It will make it scary quiet, and makes it much easier to hit prey animals that jump when a sudden sound goes off around them.
