What are some positive opinions one can have about the Wehrmacht without coming off like a Wehraboo?
The Holocaust didn't happen.

The Germans tended to make good camo?

At the beginning of the war they were the best trained. They were experienced and confident and morale was high. In terms of the limited resources they had, they employed them ingeniously to devastating effect. It wasn't until the first winter on the Eastern front that everything went downhill.

Indeed.

-Some of the finest generals of that time, and perhaps throughout all of history.
-Had some very good ideas that became the basis of modern combined arms warfare.
-In 1945, despite having no hope of victory, they fought on to allow their comrades and civilians to escape.

I never get picked for the cool kids team
Best thing you can do OP is to actually read about the fucking Germans. Play up all the cool stuff they did, but don't buy into the zerg rush myth or the Germans are the best soldiers meme. The German military looked really different at different parts of the war. My advice is to read about how the Germans lost. Because they actually had to do stupid shit to lose the war, surprise, surprise.
Germany ran out of men and materials, thus the creation of infantry divisions without artillery or anti tank guns, and many other problems. Most people know that shit, but here are two things to consider. Germany lost tons of guys on the Eastern front in 1944-1945 because they were bad. Like really bad. Like hey Hitler, the Romanians just switched sides, the Russians are attacking, and at the end we lost 300,000 men bad. Stalingrad was just a prank compared to what Germany faced in 1944. Also Hitler's Generals blame him for everything, especially the good ones. At the end of the war it became harder and harder to win and appease Hitler's territorial demands. Because of this Hitler sacked a bunch of officers and replaced them with yes men and die hards that contributed to stunning defeats, but before Hitler did that mistakes were made by some of the more popular Generals. Instead of owning up to their mistakes they often blamed the one guy who couldn't defend himself, Hitler. Lastly the US likes to play up Germany so yea. They are always uber nazi killing machines instead of tired fighting men like everyone else.
This is a really good short (1 hour is short) overview of the Eastern front in WWII.

>it was all hitler's fault
yeah ok von Stauffenberg
>>34223032
I clearly say that it was not Hitler's fault. In fact Hitler make several decent decisions that are flaunted as incorrect by most people, such his willingness to hold the line in the winter of 1941.
