Don't.

This is a pivotal moment in your life Michael.

Nobody's going to fix your life, it's entirely up to the choices you make from this moment on.

I know a construction company in Fort Collins who would give you a job at $16/hour if you want it. You can move and work immediately. I may even have a friend at whose house you might stay for a month or two until you can pay rent.

Yes it is decent for the money. No matter how chintzy it may be, if it breaks, Vortex will fix or replace it, forever.

Buy with confidence. I recommend trying to find one used, this way you save even more money but still have the warranty.

I don't LIKE it but it works. Ideally I would want a light between 9:00 and 11:00 but the X300 is too fat and wide for that and there are no slick QD options for it there. And I'd rather my rifle lay flat.

tl;dr 12:00 is an easy, unobtrusive place to put a temporary light when it's needed.

Steiner P4xi or Vortex PST imo. Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6 if you must have 6x but you're underpaying for less quality there. The PST gen 1s are on pretty heavy sale now because the gen 2s are out. Example
https://www.midwayusa.com/product/126574

The Leupold VX-6 and Sig Tango4 1-6 both look promising and are just a little more than your budget but I don't know anything about them. Also the PST gen 2 is 1-6.

I'm not retarded enough to buy SIG OPTICS. But I've owned two SIG rifles, a 556 and 556R, that left such a bad taste in my mouth stale semen would be a welcome relief from Cohen's SIG. Everything about the 556 was cheap. The furnature rattled, the gas plug had two ports of the same size, the receiver was improperly made and the BCG smashed into it and damaged itself, the folding stock almost always failed to lock into place when folded and when it did it had about a 100% chance to rip the attachment notch off the receiver when it unfolded. Let me tell you about the 556R. There is a great rifle. Oh, except you couldn't use steel magazines because SIG decided to make the lower out of aluminum with no steel inserts to using steel AK mags damaged the gun.

Fair enough with regard to Sig rifles, however I don't see a correlation between them and pistols or optics. The optics are entirely new, and most of the entire lineup are made in the same factories as Primary Arms and Vortex.

IMO the warranty is where things could potentially fall apart. How is Sig's handling of warrantied service?

Yet. You don't think SIG will crank out LEGION rifles and optics? The pistols are made by the same company as the rifle. Fool me twice... I have used one before on everything from gun parts to carburetors, I'd say pretty much anything that you would normally use a solvent on should be fine. I haven't seen it hurt blueing, anodizing or parkerizing using a solution of simple green. It just takes the grease/dirt off.

Purchased my 10th gun (my second AR) a couple of days ago, but it was the first gun I'd acquired in nearly 3 years.
Stag Model 3 with a weaver 1-4x optic and a few furniture upgrades, good hard plastic case, 5 mags and 300 rounds of 5.56 for $800. Felt like a good deal and I bought it from a good friend.
>>
>>34212804
Are the Trijicons worth it? I had an old coworker offer one to me for $700 'new in the box' that he supposedly traded a car for. A friend looked up his dealer cost on the scope and it would have run him over $1,400. Knowing the guy who was selling, it was most likely stolen and since they are serial numbered I didn't buy it. Still wonder if I should have.

That's not it, but I doubt there's going to be much to complain about on that rifle.

The one I saw was a build from a no-name company, they were built from off the shelf components assembled into a complete rifle. I think it had an Anderson lower and what looks like a UTG handguard but I specifically remember it said "MADE IN USA" on the handguard. It was posted about on ar15.com too, but I can't find the link there either. :(

16" carbine gas is not optimal, but it will work fine. 1:9 twist will be good for shooting inexpensive bulk 55gr M193

At the end of the day the only thing they spared cost on is the barrel. Forged receivers and mil spec trigger will be as good as any others out there since they all come from the same four places

Gases will go where the ports are
>>
any long-term negative effects of running a rifle-length gas system on a carbine buffer tube kit? it feeds/ejects consistently, doesn't cock up the brass, and the recoil isn't absurd
>>
>>34217344
So that would be a no?
>>
>>34217371
It has less wear than a carbine or mid length gas, the only reason to use a rifle buffer tube is if you want an A2 stock.
>>
>>34217396
read the fuckin question retard
>>
>>34217405
Do you consider less wear to be a negative effect?
>>
>>34217371
You're good to go man. Some people will grab an H3 buffer etc. for recoil if they are using heavy grain ammo, but for regular shit you're solid.
>>
>>34217385
I mean it doesn't really matter, just realize the gases will go whatever way the ports are facing.
>>
>>34217242
strobe is effective, prove me wrong basement dweller.

There is no point to having a strobe function. the light is to identify whatever you're pointing at, if it's a threat you shoot them not throw a disco party.

looking a lot better than original

also why doesn't everyone obsessively check their emails it's like this guy doesn't want $450
>>
>>34217549
>also why doesn't everyone obsessively check their emails
I cannot fucking stand people who don't check their emails every 4-6 hours at a minimum, drives me nuts

And it's ready enough for 2gun now at least. I might even pick up the bipod and JPSCS before then too
>>
