Hey /k/, I'll be getting my CCP next month, and I'm looking for holsters.
I'll be carrying a 9mm Shield, most likely appendix.
I know that holsters are things you don't want to skimp on if you can avoid it, but both of the holsters I'm looking at (below, pic partially related) have solid reviews and are at what I consider a good price point. Does anyone have any experience with either or have other suggestions?

What a coincidence, I just picked up a 9mm Shield today and ordered the Klipt off Amazon
I don't advocate appendix carry though

Don't get the klipt. Been carrying a shield in that holster for a few months now and I'm ready to switch. Its clip is too long for a standard belt or gunbelt, so it either ends up in an awkward angle or straight vertical. Its okay for appendix and ok for 4 o clock, but it doesn't excel at either. Its never at the right angle to draw easily from 4 o clock, and never at the right angle to be comfortable at appendix. You can just tilt it, but it won't stay that way. Get a holster that allows you to set a cant and has a better clip.
That being said, it wasnt terrible. Retention is good, and its not going to break on you. Overall I've enjoyed it, but now that I have more experience I know that it's worth shelling out a few more shekels for a higher quality one. Still good for the price though.

Entry level? The Blackhawk in OP
Mid level? http://www.vedderholsters.com/lighttuck/

OP here, so the Blackhawk is good to go? Anything I should know about it?

I don't have experience with this particular holster, but Blackhawk gear in gear tends to range from "passable" to "good, but bulky". Their polymer stuff that I've used has worked decently enough.
Blackhawk used to be a big time Gucci company back in the early days before the other companies started making aftermarket tactical stuff. They just never evolved with the times, so their stuff is basically "Man this would have kicked ass in 2005!".

I cuurently carry my shield aiwb in a kydex holster from vedder. I can't imagine a better holster. I really like that it has metal belt clips and is cant adjustable. Ver minimalist and relatively low priced. I can post pics in the morning, but you could also just google it.
