I was not raised with guns, I came into owning firearms by myself. My first gun was a ruger .357 mag. Second was the browning BL-22 lever action rifle (fucking love that rifle). Based on my taste what would /k/ recommend as the next gun I purchase? is there any extra advice you'd like to throw this way?

Do you like to sport shoot, want to defend yourself, want to try trap/skeet? Hunting?
Any laws you have to fit, and what kind of budget?
Those new henry single shots in ant caliber you're into.

I live in California so there I do not have a lot of freedom. I've just been shooting at the range for now. Even guys I've met have been stopped from shooting on their own property, thats how bad it is.
I'm down for all hunting/sport shooting and my budget can handle whatever you think is good
thanks for recommendations!

A t/c compass is a good gun, lots of calibers for it
Get an AR senpai. Preferably an SP1 clone but pretty much anything you wish is ok as long as it is gassed correctly and bolt weight is correct.

is this it?

Yeah boi

my roommate has an AR, but apparently CA passed a law restricting the purchase of AR's plus limited amount of ammunition you can purchase per month. I know i have to do my own research but isn't my ability to purchase an AR blocked at this point, or is that what other
Californian's want me to think?

Idk much about cali laws but would this be legal?

please provide info and i'll look it up for you
The Swedish Mauser 92 is an awesome old timey bolt action, guaranteed your first two rifles were lever action I think you'd appreciate the vintage feel that the Mauser has. They're a bit pricey though, worth the buy imo

i agree with you. but no one can actually gain the rightful amount of hatred for this fucking future sinking island of self destructive leftists and malicious foreigners as actually living in it.
Please recommend what you like, and i'll see if can arm myself... Moving asap

Ares SCR - basically an AR with a traditional stock. That's a regular AR-15 upper, barrel, etc. and a modified Remington 1100 shotgun stock you see in that image. Basically the SCR gets around feature bans and lets you use full-cap magazines in most "ban states."

so the gun you featured in that image is legal? in Commiefraudia in even?

The Mini-14 is California legal, has some nice wood furniture, uses .223, and is solid and reliable. Don't listen to the haters - it's a great choice.
As for the ammo limits, it 1) hasn't taken effect yet and 2) only limits the amount you can buy at a time; i.e. you can buy 100 rounds, walk them out to your car, go back into the store, and buy 100 more. It's an annoyance, but not a deal-breaker.

If you're gonna that route, might as well just do an SKS. Hell of a lot cheaper and bigger aftermarket.
>>34188298
GREAT! let me look into it and I'm going to post back

does my future lie within this image?

I bought my Mini at Antioch Armory. Big 5 carries them, at decent prices. Just look around at your LGS.
