The SAA's indexing is really finnicky, because the cylinder spins freely at half cock. If you cock VERY quickly, it can "throw over" which means the pin will strike to the left of the primer. Or, if you're less lucky, strike the left side of the primer and blow out your frame. It's not a problem with the gun being used as intended, but you can slick it up to have better timing than it was supposed to and so lock up more quickly, avoiding the overthrow
