No, like everyone was saying, muscle memory. I'd also say it's auditory memory. You don't really keep track in any active way, you remember the feeling and sound and guess how many times it happened.

Not that it's applicable as a skill, but you can train yourself similarly anytime you need to "count" the same amount over and over. This is the faggiest sentence i've ever written, but I can do this in calladoody with most of the "guns"
