Two new toys today. Yes I know they are reproductions but I don't give a shit. Just shot both of them and feels good man.
The top is a 69 cal, 1809 model and the other a Jukar 45 cal. The ol' boy wanted 50 bucks for 69 and just gave me the other one. Good people do exist sometimes.
Conversion on 69....
Knew of them but never seen one.
Just shot black powder for the first time on Friday. You'll be surprised how much fun it is, anon!

I've been playing with them for the last five years or so. Have a 44 cal revolver, 50 cal inline rifle and an antique rifle/shotgun that's 150 years old or so.
Yes, they are awesome.
neat.
they look like pirate guns.
post pic of the projectile they shoot.

I've always wanted a semi auto that looked like this, the mag would be in the handle, I've just never been able to figure out how the feed mechanism and all that would work. I'm not a gunsmith
For a dude who will get into BP buying some single shot pistol whats easier to maintain?
flintlock
or percussion cap?
I'll probably only shoot it to learn then rarely shoot. My uneducated opinion leans towards flintlock.
Sorry for the break. I had to, yet again, inform my step-son if the manners of my garage and putting tools back.

The left is a regular 45 cal, the 69 kinda dwarfs it. I haven't cleaned em yet.

I have only dealt with cap & ball but some guys love the ol' flintlocks better. The only thing you could do is ask those that have both. They love their b/p toys and will not hesitate to teach you and fire em.

>Converting glorious flintlock to caplock
>Buying a caplock
You are a disappointment to your parents.

I was gonna be a smart-ass but now that I think of it, it could work......
Strip a cheap pistol like a Jennings J-22, then think about the tube type mags in the handle/forestock. Forget about it.
Too much work.

Caplocks are more than a century later than the age of piracy.
As for the boolits, nothing too fancy, and they will look like these. The big on is a 69 cal for my 75 cal musket. The smaller one is 54 cal for my 69 cal pistol.

Either way, blackpowder is a pig to clean, and requires a bit more work and safety. Ita not hard to pick up though.

Your best bet would be to buy a Ruger Charger and carve it a new stock/grip.
Trying to put the mag in the grip is impossible with something like a flintlock pistol shape.
>>34150117
where does one get these?

What about all the conversions during the civil war. The dealt with what they had. A lot of converted rifles and pistols made a lot of chaos and worked well.
Get off your god damn high horse.
>>34150117
i can sense the shit-eating grin on your face through your posts
good on you, anon. also anon is still a flaming faggot because its still 4chan
may you have many years of fun with those new toys.

I go to a site called http://gunshop.rollanet.org/index.php. You'll see a lot of fuds, hicks and such but then you also find a bargain like today. It's a small area site for gun, ammo, relics and such. Look around for a site in your local area.
>>34151253
Thank you, I didn't have mine with me.
>>34151268
>What about all the conversions during the civil war.
They made poor decisions.
>The dealt with what they had.
They fucked up.
>A lot of converted rifles and pistols made a lot of chaos and worked well.
"Muh hurritage".
>Get off your god damn high horse.
Its how I keep the filth of you peasants off my waistcoat. Now, back to your fields!
>>34151367
Yes, they did.
Yes, they also did
>"Muh hurritage". I don't see a problem with this. You're probably one of those niggers getting statues taken down.
In closing, Piss off.

Calm your tits, provincial. I believe that everything after betraying our rightful crown is a mistake in American history.
You're just jelly you don't have a hot German raifu to cuddle in bed with.
>>34151533
L-l-lewd~
>>34151533
>You're just jelly you don't have a hot German raifu to cuddle in bed with.
Touche' That you probably got me on!
>>34151533
I wanna fingerfuck your raifu.
Oh hell, here we go.
>>34150117
You can find trigger guards for jukar pistols pretty easily. Amazing buy, anon.
>>34150852
Flintlocks, for me at least, are more fun and hardly more of a process to load. Flintlocks end up much dirtier than percussion cap guns, so they take a little more love to maintain. Well worth it though. If you want a gun for more serious use, like hunting, I'd lean toward percussion.
>>34151533
I'll be in my bunk...
>>34150117
This will sound weird but, anybody know what the source of all those guns laid out on a deck and photographed from above is from?
This was mostly from like 2011-2013 /k/
Drake's deck I think?
