In Albuquerque for the summer and want to do some shooting. What are the best ranges and stores out here in this shitty desert?

You're lucky, there is an abundance of shitty desert to shoot in and also the NRA mega range

To bad I couldn't bring my guns due to some bullshit circumstances. Where is a good range to rent.

help
Calibers is okay for an indoor range, they are pretty pricey though. Good Selection of new stuff though.
Ron Peterson's is a fun store as they have a pretty eclectic selection. But they know their stuff and things are pretty well priced so you are not gonna walk out with any screaming deals, but they generally wont rip you off either.
The City range is shit because it's super restrictive and I hear they wont let you collect your own brass anymore.
Group of friends and I used to just go out west in the desert between the city and the 66 Casino.

I'm assuming that New Mexico ought to have a ton of public land to go shooting on, I know in Oregon they have public ranges you can go and shoot on. I just wish those tweakers would leave me alone about my brass...

Cool, I was looking at calibers since I'm staying close to it
which direction are you coming from? Los Alamos have a very nice range (private), and you get to visit Oppie and Groves while you're at it.
