I got a cheapo Gen1+ for playing with during deer season. The resolution is nowhere near what your Gen 3 is, but it works well enough for the price. Secondary illumination source really helps.

Armasight Vega Night Vision Goggle Gen 1+

They're $299.

It's great for close up walking around, although you do get fisheye with it. It's rough to see things at 100 yards with it's illumination, but the IR light made a hell of a difference. All told I'm into it for 400 bucks.

It's not what Psi has, but it cost 1/10 of what he paid for his and performs well enough for tasks.

I've had several terrible issues with usps. Tbh I'm about to just start paying extra and always using FedEx or UPS. If I sell something just add $10 or something so I don't have to deal with their incompetence. It's truly staggering.
