Honestly I don't know why we give cops anything in full auto. Full auto is only really useful for coordinated squad based movements which cops are not trained in at all. In fact considering how shit tier American police training is I definitely don't think they can be trusted to control a sub gun on full auto. Given the fact that they are in an urban domestic environment full auto really seems to create more liability then any advantage it might provide. Not to mention buying and handling semi auto ar15s is probably cheaper, a lot less paperwork, and way simpler logistically for the department.
