This guy on eBay named 3_reich makes WW2 reproductions that are pretty high quality ( and tailored to your hat size) but they ship from China so it takes about a month to arrive unless you choose to pay a lot more. As for the brim, I can't tell what it's made out of but it is stiff and if you bend it will go back to its original shape.

Patagonia stuff is insanely solid. It's just about the best relatively mass-market outdoor wear you can get your hands on.

I've gotten 10+ years out of their coats, fleeces, etc many times over, and 20+ years out of their backpacks and bags, and they've replaced everything that failed prematurely free of cost.

Patagonia is fucking god-tier, and their emphasis on conservation makes them that much moreso.
