So my Sig M400 pistol in 300 memeout has a fucking tapered barrel so when you go to put a can on [like the one I just waited a year to get] you need to purchase a taper cap from Sig so you can use your shim washers on a 90 degree to time your adapter. Guess what? No one has this fucking part. Sig: "Pay more now so you can pay more later. Also fuck you. Thanks"
>buy sig
>complain about sig being expensive
You shit in your own bed, now you gotta sleep in it.

maybe you're just not ready for firearms as a hobby.

Yeah you're right. I'm just expecting too much from one of the premier manufacturers to have the necessary parts in stock to mount a non-Sig can. I knew this was going to be a pile-on so come up with something better.

Why didn't you do research before you bought it?

I did, but damn....a tapered barrel? And Sig says it's engineered for more accurate shots. Marketing at its finest. I personally have never heard of tapered barrels so at the very least someone can learn from my mistake.

That's what you get for buying an AR pistol in .300 Blackout.
My 5.56 516 upper doesn't have this problem.

it's something they started doing a while back, you probably should've researched it.

Do you not know about the velocity on mass by the 300 BO out of a 9-10" barrel is the same as a 556 out of a 16" barrel at the same range? 556 is most potent in a 20 inch barrel. 300 in a 9 inch barrel. Try ballisticsbytheinch.com

idk. SIG must have had a reason and I'm doubting its to make money off of can shims

This is correct

Even if they wanted to make money on those shims, I'm fine with that. Just keep them in stock. I heard the MPX now come with them.
