Even with years of woodworking experience and tens of thousands of dollars worth of tools, making this by hand would be difficult. Possibly impossible.
>>
>>34108869
are you that incompetent?
op just google laminated wood ar15 furniture it was like 170 bucks last time i looked at it
>>
>>34108869
Not that hard, if you have a pantorouter and a drill press then that would be handy, but really you can make this pretty easily with a spokeshave, a bandsaw, a drill and a whole lotta sandpaper.

>prebuilt
fucking why

You can get a complete A2 upper from Palmetto for $279, a complete A2 lower for $209, all you need is a CH and BCG and you have a standard A2 for under $600.

Not an exact set, but I recommend buying/building a 20" with a rifle length gas system for dem aethstetics.

Nothing wrong with PSA, but you're retarded.

My AR was built from Palmetto parts. never once had an issue with it.

As a matter of fact, my AR from Palmetto parts has less FTF or FTE than my Bushmaster Carbine.

ok redpill me then. I don't know anything about AR's. If I was going to buy a wooden handguard, grip, and buttstock, what's the best option in terms of parts if I want the actual AR to be under 500 dollars
>>
Jesus fucking christ, day/k/are is such shit.

OP, you can find wood furniture for your gov or carbine profile Ar15 on Ironwood Designs. They also make lots of new AK furniture if you want a special look like the Tabuk Sniper model. You will have to stain them yourself.

OP mentioned a sport II in his first post. No where did I allude to $1000+ there you turbo autist. Plus, I said theres nothing wrong with PSA, but if you don't consider a completed lower and upper a "prebuilt" then you're also retarded.

>>34110496
>there is literally no reason

Firstly, only a sith deals in absolutes. Secondly, there are plenty of reasons you doofus, chief among them being the fact that they are so incredibly cheap nowadays. Again, if you think that connecting a completed upper and lower disqualifies PSA from "prebuilt" status you're retarded.
>>
>>34110567

This, and it turns out looking better than expected.

My stuff is still pre VN era or "all the rails", , but the couple I assembled with wood looked rather nice.

I literally just gave you an exact breakdown on how to keep it under $600, just do your own googling and look out for good deals. I saw $30 shipped lowers because of the holiday.

I built my A2 from parts. The only difficult part was attaching the barrel since I had a cheap vice.
>>
>>34111479
Shitty DPMS Oracles are $399 right now and have a $75 mail in rebate that's good for another month or so.

It's a shitty starter rifle though compared to the Ruger 5.56 or S&W M&P Sport II
>>
>>34111479
We're on the same page anon. I was calling out the other dude for shitting on prebuilt ARs, but still suggesting a more expensive prebuilt PSA alternative because of "built not bought" elitism.
>>
>>34111901
i'm guessing when said PSAfag buys a complete lower and upper and spends 2 minutes connecting them he's a BUILDER
>>
>>34108853
Look everybody! It's the latest and greatest version of Hunter 3-1!
>>
>>34109233
I've crunched the numbers and You really don't save much buying everything separately, even if you wait for sales becasue sale price for prebuilt assemblies are the same price at sales too.
>>
>>34111901
>>34112053
This attitude is completely alien to me. By way of comparison, I built my AR at the height of pre-election panic, and before my post-built tinkering, it ended up running me close to $1700, sans optic. That being said, I think its phenomenal that folks can now get in on the action for less than a new Glock retails for with a quality, basic bitch AR. This is huge. They're almost party favor priced at this point, buy them for friends! Have a 4473-signing party at your FLGS when you take everyone to pick up their new gats!
>>
>>34112053
>>34112110
>>34112117

Correct. The market is so saturated with different ways to obtain ARs at this point, there's no reason to limit yourself to just buying or just building. What a time to be alive.
