Went fishing with my old man at lake mead. We took our boat, an old recreational in/out four winns, out to a nice little cove and caught some pretty good stripper and catfish. Then went for a cruise before sun down on the lake and even tried water skiing. I first drove my dad cause he can ski really well and sort of showed me how to do it, and then he drove me when I tried it, but I couldn't get up on the water. Single skis are pretty hard to learn I guess. We ate well that night, camping on the beach roasting Hebrews (hot dogs) and s'mores over the fire. Came home next day, cleaned the boat and had a great barbecue dinner, chicken, potato salad and corn on the cob. Relaxing and wonderful. I cant end on a good note though, studying for final exams. I wanted to go shooting but I couldn't have asked for a better weekend to be honest.

Went to a local fair for the start of summer Saturday with this new girl I'm talking to that was nice. My Dad and I won a bowfishing tournament at our local Rod and Gun club had a nice purse to it on Sunday. Monday I slept in then went to work got time and a half for parking some nice cars.

Went innawoods with a girl I've been talking too. It was her first time backpacking and she loved it. Despite the fact it rained for a good bit of while we were out.

Pretty g8 I r8 8/8. Took a couple qts swimming and shooting. Speaking of which, one of them wants to start carrying for protection and I recommended her a .410 Derringer for a console gun but she is very tiny, like 100 pounds and I wasn't sure what to recommend her for a daily carry gun. Any ideas /k/? I know this is a question that gets asked on the daily but I pay it no mind because I am not a smol grill.

Well shit definitely not a .410 derringer. Something small that won't be too "harsh" in a smaller package. Think .380, like a Sig Sauer P238, Ruger LCP (they juat came out with the 2nd version), S&W Bodyguard, Glock 42, etc etc.

Took my CMP Service Grade Garand out for its first range trip. I'm very impressed with the groupings I got shooting HXP greek surplus ammo. couldn't finish the zero because I forgot my gerber. so no screwdriver to properly fix the rear elevation knob.
