Basically I'm not that fit nor one of the strongest people.
Yet I can handle no problems .45 acp in a compact aluminum framed steel slided 1911, I'm probably getting a .40. So why do people here complain about recoil on anything above a 9mm?

Wow, you're a big boy! Good job, champ!
>So why do people here complain about recoil on anything above a 9mm?
They don't.

I've seen people complain about the .40 recoil

They complain about recoil in proportion to how effective the round is. That's a significant difference.

I'll never handle anything but a Soviet pistol with dickgrips will I?

Recoil control isn't about preventing the gun from recoiling.
It's about the sights returning to the same position.

manlets. when will they learn

Good point I don't see myself having to use a handgun within 60 yards. So it's unlikely id need to shoot anyone beyond that in self defense.

Shoot the 40 before you buy it. I personally prefer the recoil of a 45 to a 40. The 40 sw cartridge has "snappy" recoil per the higher velocity of the round whereas the 45 acp has, in my opinion a smoother recoil.
Just my personal opinion, but try it before you buy it.

Stance and grip is much much much more important than strength or muscle.
OP is just a moron who listens to fudds that hand their wives handguns without any kind of warning or advice.
>go to range
>there is always that one douche who gives their girlfriend the 22
>then instantly the 12ga
>they laugh about it
People are shitty.
