ITT we post oddly aesthetically pleasing guns. Guns that aren't typically with aesthetics, but you think look cool.

Pic related, British XL60 prototype. It's so... slender. Most bullpupsuccessful look back heavy, but not the XL60.

How the hell did Britain manage to fuck up the AR-18?

STG 57. It's so fucking ugly, it comes around again and becomes attractive.

MAT-49 is very sexy imo
I love the cubic body and the thin ass barrel protruding from it, it screams "sub gun"

Late 19th-early 20th century weird-ass experimental guns, when they didn't really know what they were doing, are my favorite aesthetic; the wackier the better. Mainly SMGs, but there's some pretty funky semiauto rifles and pistols and carbines and whatnot too. It's something about their almost makeshift-looking appearance, the uncanny design, the utter lack of ergonomics or something that does it for me.

Watch Ians video on the Prototypes. The people who developed the SA80 were mechanical engineers that had no experience on firearms development.

it looks like something a comic artist without any knowledge of what a gun do or look like would draw

That barrel is grossing me out. It either needs a shorter barrel or a longer gas system to be AESTHETIC.

You have no idea how much I want to own that gun.

Not as much as the Steyr, AAI or HK entries to ACR, but the difference is that I could get most of the changes to the rifle custom done, and then handload duplex rounds, as opposed to pure unobtanium.

ACR was best program.
