Sup /k/ommandos,
Just picked up a F/A civilian model 1928 Thompson. I've got an old violin case in the works, but I'm having a bit of trouble finding older drum mags. I've got about 3 right now but I'm lookin for more. Apparently the older drum mags work better than the newer ones, and I was hoping yall could help me.

Worth more than both of my cars...I need to get my priorities in order! What state u live in op?
Congrats, OP. You're one of like five people on /k/ who don't spend their money on poverty rifles.

Honestly, drums are a chore, if you have 3 already, you have a pretty good set.
Stickmags are easier to deal with and generally function better on average, there's a reason that those are much easier to find.

I love that the .22LR Tommygun still has the Cutts Compensator.
>>34066901
So you got one of the West Hurley Thompsons? You know those are on the lower end of the Thompson collector hierarchy, right?
>>34070341
West Hurley guns aren't even real Thompsons.
>>34066901
Numerich has some drum magazines still available

They're nice for people who don't want to spend $50,000 to $100,000 for a genuine original M1921 or M1928 Thompson.

OP is a basement dwelling NEET
>>34066969
>its got the original receiver
wrong. West Hurley manufactured guns have the 'A' prefix in their serial numbers. This is a reproduction made in the 1970s or 1980s.

An open-bolt blowback .45 is an open-bolt blowback .45 desu
>>34070399
So how's Interarms doing?
>>34070462
That's fine, just wanted to make sure you were aware that you won't be able to flip it for $50k or $75k because it's a West Hurley should you ever decide to sell it.

He paid about what they go for, I don't think he was under the impression it was worth much more.
>>34070510
From >>34066969 he seemed to be under the impression that it was a genuine original Thompson and not a West Hurley repro
