I see no future in these guns in the aspect of aggressive fighting, however, defensive fighting or home defense for the unarmed uneducated arms user may have a better scoop at using these kinds of arms

Making a new production 4-shot derringer would only produce a future forgotten weapon as shown by the COP .357.
The 4-shot pepperbox hasn't been too successful over all in modern times. It just doesn't really offer much over more conventional pistols.
