I have a surplus N3B, it's kickass but it looks kinda weird. Mine is a medium and pretty big but that's good for layers...not that you need that many with a jacket like this. It's like wearing the top half of a sleeping bag so it's really fuckin cozy.
There are two hand warmer pockets above where the guy in op's pic has his hands which are nice. Once you zip the hood up all the way you can just sit outside in a snowstorm while being toasty, it's pretty awesome. Also it's not waterproof.

There are differences in years though...

Mine has the cotton shell, polyester insulation, and synthetic fur trim. I don't have the wool to compare, and although wool would be nice to have, my jacket is already quite heavy and it's plenty warm. And since the fur is synthetic, it's not as soft

Check the Kommando Store, they should have no less than 5 different milsurp parkas, all of which are relatively cheap for winter coats.

i have the jacket i n the picture for this thread got it for $49.99 best jacket i have got it at a surplus store N3B with synthetic fur on mine dot even use heaingin my home during the winter just throw this bad boy on and i buy more ammo :D
