Why does /k/ masterbate over this? I've only seen the first one but it's literally just a typical Hollywood walking aimbot that uses a zero recoil gun to kill bad guys that attack one at a time.
>>
>>34031772
Because MORPHEUS? went through 3 gun training, so the gunplay is pretty solid.

Still waiting on a good blu-ray rip for Chapter 2...
>>
Keanu reloads regularly, plus he became 3gun proficient in preparation for the role.
But I agree, its over-hyped as fuck on this board.
>>
>>34031786
Gunplay?

>spin 180 degrees right
>HEADSHOT
>spin 90 degrees left
>HEADSHOT
>forward roll
>HEADSHOT
>360 spin
>HEADSHOT
>jump
>HEADSHOT
>flip over bad guy
>HEADSHOT

That?
>>
>>34031772
It's pretty shitty. The only thing it has is that Keanu actually reloads, they don't do the infinite bullet shit you see in some movies. That and Keanu is probably the most proficient in weapons than any other Hollywood actor.

Like other anon said I'll wait for a RIP for #2. It's worth watching but not going to pay for it.
>>
>>34031826
Yeah, that. Jealous?
>>
>>34031772
You've clearly never seen a pro USPSA or ISPC shooter shoot, have you?
>>
>>34031850
Jealous of what? Its boring when the hero is never in any danger and flashy anime gunfights aren't enough to remedy that.
>>
>>34031772
They like it because it's a cool, fun, well made movie.
>>
>>34031871
>the protagonist won't die
You realize it's a Hollywood movie, right?

Anyways, my original point was that it was actually feasible, as opposed to the 80s action movie trope.
>>
What would a real life one man firefight look like? Say a lone Delta operator taking on 15-20 gunmen in an abandoned warehouse.
>>
>>34031826
The point is he's *supposed* to be untouchable. He is the guy you send in to kill the boogeyman. He's been doing this since forever.
While it makes for a somewhat lame approach to the storytelling, it is essentially second nature to him. The 1% of the 1% of the 1% for hitmen
>>
>>34031826
i mean, is he ever more than 10 feet away from someone before killing them? those shots werent even close to impossible.

>zero recoil
Its a 9mm handgun with a compensator being wielded by a dude who doesn't have female wrists.
>>
>>34031906
Delta died
>>
>>34031906
well... if he was retired for years and hadn't been practicing 3gun for 8 hours a day each day, then a one man firefight would look like a dude getting wasted pretty quick.
>>
>>34031841
I think Tom Hardy has him beat
>>
>>34032064
how so?
>>
>>34031772
It's a movie, get over it

>Implying Miculek couldn't do that to you and your whole close and extended family if his joints wouldn't ache or break when he rolls around and was 20-30 years younger

I guess being younger would take care of the first problem but you get my fucking point
>>
>>34031824

Good decent movie but as others have said, over hyped
>>
>>34031867

What he means is that the gun fighting part is unrealistic.

Shooting at paper targets is different from shooting at armed men shooting at you
>>
>>34032462

Sure if we all pause and engage him one at a time.

You mean Tom Cruise. Would be interesting to seem them both at a 3 gun match and then a USPSA match.
>>
>>34031772
Heat is still the best gun movie for the one gunfight alone. John Wick is still supposed to be stylish action, it just doesn't pretend guns are magic kill sticks. I bet you complained about John Woo's Hard Boiled, too.
>>
>>34031786
iirc bd comes out early in july

not that guy, but Tom Hardy is a closet ammosexual. While filming in the Czech Rep, he was invited to the CZ factory and got to shoot some shit.

it's a shame he had to mark his nice body with those degenerate and disgusting tattoos
>>
>>34032967
>Remastered
I didn't know this existed. Is there any difference or is it just in better quality?
>>
>>34031772
the second one is a little more realistic.

uses internet hyped guns. all of them appear modified for 3 gun combat. glock used in the second film is heavily modified
>>
>>34033153
pretty friendly with guns for a Hollywood faggot who publicly supported Hilary
>>
>>34032659
tom cruise has mentioned that he would never fire a non-prop gun in his personal life.

so i guess he would lose any 3-gun match you put him in.
>>
>>34031841
the second one is leagues better than the first.

first has some parts where story line is a little cringey.

entire movie of john wick 2 is closeup of keanu holding his pistol in center axis relok though
>>
>>34031772
people like aimbots tho play any computer fps and most people just want to watch campers with an aimbot, the bulk of the game play is them losing to an aimbot then spectating whoever has aimbots left camping for 10 or 15 minutes longer than the round should last as the most boring fucking gameplay possible

reminder that shoot em up did it before it was cool
>>
>>34031772
It's a boring film with some mediocre action scenes. I don't care if he got to some retarded level 3 gun training or that he reloads regularly. Doesn't make it a good film.
>>
>>34034567
Kek. I rewatched that like a month or two ago. When he randomly pulls a carrot out of his pocket and takes a bite, priceless.
>>
>>34034643

the fist scene where hes stirring his coffee with one
>>
>>34034567
Yeah i agree. John wick was pretty regular hollywood trash.
Shoot em up, which pretty ridiculous, owned up to it and made the movie very good.
I saw John wick becuase of the /K/ommandos here circle jerking the movie. Was pretty disappointed.
>>
>>34031826
You know, they really have a script ready for the movie in making.

If you want something else, go watch katanas in fedoras in YT.

>gun meme tshirt
>paracord bracelet

>mechanix gloves
Fucking faggot.
>>
>>34033270
You have that completely reversed

The first one was just quick revenge and they left his past mysterious enough but showed that he had those nice connections.

Second one was a fucking shit show with constant talk about the organization, fucking rules for secret hitmen club, and THE FUCKING LEAGUE OF HOBO ASSASSINS.

Second one was an absolute joke saved by the fact that it's an action movie with fun set pieces.
>>
>>34031772
I agree all the CGI looks like ass. I think it's a generational gap desu
>>
Hard boiled is a much better movie
>>
>>34031919
So, 0.0001%
>>
>>34031772
The actual reason everyone likes the movie is because it is the first action movie in a while to not use excessively many cuts during action scenes.

Other than that, it's just fun, really.

>>34037583

Criticizing John Wick for being unrealistic and then saying Hard Boiled is much better is the epitome of hypocrisy.
>>
>>34031919
>mafia boss say he killed 3 guy with a pen or something
>can't even beat 1vs1 barehand some dude in the club

The fact they overblown his killer presence made the movie less enjoyable.
The movie was alright but it's hard to really enjoy it when there's no silly moments or a tiny spark of craziness. All the choregraphy was just 100% professional without any surprise with time, by that i mean you just know he gonna pull the usual pistol aiming technique against everyone.
It was hard for the movie to fly off the ground if every gunfight just stayed at the same level
>>
>>34037714
>>can't even beat 1vs1 barehand some dude in the club
Well, that dude is clearly established as the head-henchman of the mob.

Also, I really liked that Wick pulled mostly the same moves. Just as any human, he's more likely to stick to what works.

Appropriate picture there, Bubba. Rifle is fine. None of that tacticool nonsense will stop you from having shitty aim.

Don't forget that thing where people in action movies just throw pistols away when they're empty.

After shooting with one in either hand.

If he planned ahead they die. if he didnt or didnt plan well or his plan falls apart then he kills some of them and then dies.

Real life aint like the movies.

Nobody's so good they're gonna get in a shootout with 15 people on even ground and get anything other than dead without a helluva lotta luck or force multipliers.

Gurkha. Dipprasad Pun, came under attack by Taliban forces at a checkpoint in Afganistan. Somewhere between 15-30 fighters vs one fucking crazy Nepalese guy. Guy unloaded his entire ammo supply at them, plus 17 grenades, a Claymore mine, and one Taliban fighter was still standing. This was subsequently remedied by beating the absolute fuck out of him with a goddamn MG tripod.

Still doesn't top Lachhiman Gurung, another Gurkha who won the Victoria Cross in WWII. After successfully throwing back two Japanese grenades, a third went off in his hand and mangled the fuck out of his arm, and badly injuring the rest of him. So what does this bad motherfucker do? Switches his Lee-Enfield to his left hand, loads it up, and goes right back to killing Japs. And depending on the version of the story, he may have pulled a Gandalf, driving his kukri into the ground and yelling No one will pass here today!". Most accounts say he repeatedly yelled at the Japanese to "Come fight a Gurkha!", and few say he belted out the ancient Gurkha war cry “Jai Mahakali! Ayo Gorkhali!”, which translates quite well to “Victory to Great Kali! Gurkhas approach!”
>>
>>34042449
Remembering what I read from that article though the amount of rounds fired it probably wasn't a crazy firefight like in a movie and more him firing for effect to dissuade the enemy from swarming his position.
>>
>>34037714
Well the guy was basically the boss man and john was shot twice before going 1v1 with him

>>34042475
Probably, the reports I saw when posting this at 5AM had it at ~400 rounds, which sounds like a lot, but for a single man against 15-30 hostiles isn't that unreasonable. The whole "beating a guy to death with a tripod" is the real standout there.
>>
>>34032563
>What he means is that the gun fighting part is unrealistic.
no shit, it's a fucking movie. And for being a movie, it does a good job of showing realistic shooting. Nothing he does is really far fetched except the outlandish shit like surviving the intro, but beyond that the shooting isn't unrealistic
